There aren't really any "bad" camera companies, just those that are better. And those would be Canon and Nikon, in that order.
That's what I went with except in the Plum color. The features, the apparent quality of build, and the good reviews swung the deal. Best Buy is the only reasonably priced place you can still find it in stock. That camera is sold out all over town, except at the places that want an outrageous price.just bought the Nikon Coolpix S210 for my girlfriend for Christmas. They are nice cameras. Got mine at Best Buy for $119.
^ Nikon and Zeis are the two best optics companies in the world, IMO, Canon's sensors are what makes their cameras. You can't go wrong either way, except maybe for the fact that Sonys only use Memory Stick. Although I will say that Sony's T-series is hands-down the best compact camera in existence.
