Cam Ward not the guy for Titans

They should call up Siemian for the rest of the season. -- but with 45 sacks on the season heading into the game... eeeek. You'd have to reeeeally want to play to step into that at this point.

45 sacks coming into yesterdays game… O-line seems sorted, so what else could it be?

He most certainly has been part of the problem. Sacks, turnovers, and not a single game with more than 1 TD throw. He’s a top pick so will get a long leash.

Last 3 games, he’s been completing more passes and not throwing INTs.

Part of the sacks issue is Cam holding on to the ball too long, which he did in college. Part of the issue is poor play calling. Part of the issue is mediocre pass blocking that was pretty atrocious when Latham was out. But the primary issue is that we don't have any WRs that can consistently get open. It was the worst WR core in the NFL before Ridley got hurt. Now that he is gone, there are multiple college teams that have better WR rooms than we do.

So the rookie QB with a bad o-line, bad running game, bad WR play and a coaching staff in disarray is the problem. Gotcha. Seems like everyone wants a rookie to be a HOF player right out of the gate with a terrible team around him.

Let's compare a HOF QB with Cam.

In his 1998 rookie season with the Colts, Peyton Manning played all 16 games and recorded 3,739 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. He also set NFL rookie records for completions (326), attempts (575), and passing yards and touchdowns, while finishing with a 56.7% completion rate and a 71.2 passer rating. He had Marshall Faulk as RB and Marvin Harrrison as WR.

So far in Cam Ward's 2025 rookie season with the Tennessee Titans, Cam Ward has 6 passing touchdowns and 79 rushing yards. He completed 194 of 332 passes for 1,954 yards, with a 58.4% completion rate, and had 6 interceptions. His passer rating is 73.8

Cam may or may not be a good QB, but the team around him is just plain awful.

I think he will be good once he has a competent team with him. His o-line is some pretzel sticks, a used tissue, and a straight paper clip. His receivers are pretty much just floating bricks. He doesn't even have a real coach rn.

Dumb thread is dumb. Numerous recent QBs struggled in their first or even second and third seasons.
I think Peyton threw 30 interceptions in his rookie season in Indy. I would have said Williams was a bust in Chicago this time last year.

The roster is by far and away the worst in the NFL. Prime Brady wouldn't be good on this Titans team.

when he rolled to the right, couldnt find an open WR then 2 yds from the sideline pitched the ball to spears who was less than a yard from the sideline, that was the last straw. Didnt throw it out of bounds, pitched to a guy that was covered more than him. He has ceased to learn how to play NFL football.
