I agree. If you look back at the signing classes that Dooley has had, he really hasn't signed any more 3*s than any other top team. The top schools have mixed in a couple more 4's and 1 or 2 5's. But that is another conversation.

Once we stop going 5-7, you will see more 4's and 1 or 2 fives. But will still see around 8-9 three stars a year.

In 5 years, we have signed/committed 13 more 3* players than Bama, that includes what we have committed so far this year.

Little over 2 more on avg per year. Now, we have had a few more 2's, but nobody asked about those :).

Not bad if you consider we have had what, 23 wins since 2008. Bama has had that in 2 years.

Not to mention we had to sign some of those 3 stars just to add depth and in some cases starters due to the roster situation. But hey don't let facts and logic stand in the way in making a judgement call.

And how did those Kiffin recruits fair? Your argument is weak at best! I'll trust the coaches and their evaluation of players rather than a fan who tries to puff up and pretend he has recruiting smarts when he bases them on an inadequate star ranking system...

I prefer to type baloney when calling out BS, simply because bologna is supposed to be pronounced differently. When you're using it in everyday language, you almost certainly say baloney.

This thread just serves to show that recruiting talk should stay in the recruiting forum where we are least partially sheltered from the morons that troll the football forum.

Offers from VT, USCe, and Ark. I'll take that any day of the week.

We need some dedicated corners to emerge for our secondary, especially with Wagner gone after this season.

The "morons" in the recruiting forum are much worse. That's the only forum worse than the FB forum.

I have faith that Dooley will put together an even better recruiting class WHEN he starts winning games..AND who cares if we are tied with Vandy..or whatever b/c we won't be for long..A looooooooong way to NSD.:)

I'll take being tied with Vandy for now. Last week we were behind them. We've moved up to 17th and it's August. Still a long way from NSD.

I don't understand all the hate Dooley is getting for this kid and some others. Sutton has higher on our board than Langely. Sutton will be bumped up by at least 2 services to a 4 star (one pretty soon) then i guess he will be viewed as a decent pickup. I think some people believe u can fill a whole class with 4 and 5* guys and that just don't happen even with teams like bama. This guy will compete for playing time next year if he signs.
