78) Cleveland Browns: Matthew Butler, DT, Tennessee
A highly-productive interior pass rusher, Matthew Butler improves the Browns’ front four with ease. Butler has great balance through contact and even better hand usage, something he works hard to perfect. Butler could develop into a three-down lineman as he understands the value of changing the point of attack in the run game.

132) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Alontae Taylor, CB, Tennessee
As shown by their signing of Richard Sherman midway through the year, Tampa Bay needs depth at cornerback. Alontae Taylor is a sticky DB with a physical kind of play, and he’ll fit right in with the Bucs.

152) Denver Broncos: Cade Mays, G, Tennessee
Denver secured their right tackle of the future in this draft and their next swing guard as they figure out their offensive line rotation. Cade Mays is an exciting prospect on the interior after spending the past two seasons at right tackle in Tennessee. Prior to that, he had experience at just about every position while at Georgia and can largely play anywhere Denver needs him.

261) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Velus Jones Jr., WR, Tennessee
A terrific straight-line receiver, Velus Jones Jr. put on a display with previously unknown skills at the Senior Bowl. Jones showed he can highpoint the football and come down with catches through the trash. He should also immediately help in the return game.

I would not be surprised to see Butler creep up in the draft, late second round as I have read a lot of positive feedback from the practices about his motor and "get off" . . . Just my $0.02 . . .

I dont see it with Butler and Taylor.

Velus and Cade are the most capable by far in my opinion.

Cade is going to be a starter for a long time and Velus is a plug and play returner and weapon on offense because of his speed and strength.

As a Bears fan I’d be happy with all 4 on our roster..not always the case with Vols draft possibilities. Have a lot of needs and each fits one. Taylor as an eventual safety. Cade could be a Trey Smith story and we may lose Hicks…so Butler could see some time.

Might be a little low for Velus and a little high for Alontae. Hopefully, they put down a fast 40 time.

That guy needs to do some homework, though. If the Titans take Inside LB with their 1st 2 picks, I'll eat my hat.

Butler playing on the Brown's DL sounds intriguing. That would put him in a very good position with good bookends to each side and the browns are expected to take an edge in the second round shapes up well for him.

Cade to the broncos also makes sense.. they need online help badly and his versatility.

Velus and Alontae to Tampa actually make sense also.. sadly they would be playing on a post-Brady team.

I'd be happy if it turned out this way. They are all good fits at those picks and those teams. With Sean Payton gone the pipeline to the saints is likely dry now. Then again maybe KC comes at us for yet another olineman.

I think Cade goes where he goes he has the track record .. the rest of the guys will all make their paycheck at the combine/pro day. Funny enough on ESPN Cade is the lowest-ranked (by a lot) behind Taylor, and Jones and Butler is unranked. But WR and CB are hard (they actually have Taylor listed as a Safety.

Cade was once thought to be a shoe-in first or second rounder. He's a player I can see having a long career with consistency at one position (guard) and good coaching.

“Pipeline” of UDFA’s who outplay their status? Shut it off…we’ll survive. We’ll definitely put out more 4th rounders who reach elite starter status and higher. Doubt Trey Smith waits til the second day in a re-draft and personnel dudes keep notes.

Also, taking 2 LBs from the same college team? Can't imagine that happens very often.

But with Chris Olave and Tyler Linderbaum on the board, I can't see JRob passing on both guys to draft Dean. Particularly Linderbaum who by all accounts is the best Center prospect to come out in years and we are possibly losing Ben Jones in FA. Linderbaum should be an instant starter and a quality player for the next 10-15 years. Honestly, he's probably the safest pick in the draft to become a good player, though obviously drafting a Center isn't as sexy as other positions. I don't expect Linderbaum to fall past the Eagles pick at 19.

This dude certainly has some interesting takes. Derek Stingley Jr. falling to 21 and George Karlaftis falling to 23, despite both guys being unanimous Top 10 picks in most every mock I've seen. Ahmad Gardner and Sam Howell as top 10 picks???? He definitely marches to the beat of his own drum.

Absolutely. "IF" Linderbaum falls that far and the Titans don't sprint to the podium with the card, JRob should be fired on the spot. That would be an amazing steal. He needs an instant, Day 1 starter with the 1st pick this year. He gambled and hit big with Simmons a few years back. Tried it again with Farley, and the jury is still out on that one. He has whiffed on the early OL picks recently. Linderbaum appears to be an extremely safe pick. I'm just still bitter they let Trey Smith get by them last year. How much would he have helped this year?!?!?

I agree. Of course, everyone else whiffed on Trey Smith too. I think it was more the health issues than anything else. But given the upside, he was certainly a better option than the 2 other guys they drafted in the 6th round. Breeze got cut half through the season. McMath looks like a special teams player at best.

I'm more upset they drafted 2 random WRs that both seem like special team players at best. I legit had to google both players when they were selected. And neither player seems like athletic freaks where they could be breakout candidates. They were not very productive college players either. Really strange picks.

Agreed Trey had some much up side it would've been worth the risk and he played his last season at UT with no issues.
They whiffed on a good player and also some good marketing. Played for UT and is from TN, come back story after the clot issue but Titans tend make questionable picks as usual
