Sorry, this "rumor" is that Cam is going to try and play B-Ball AND Football. OMG can you imagine what the middle of the lane will look like? A FREAKING WALL!

Wait, I thought Lovie Smith recruited Cam Clear to play basketball and was going to bring Randy Shannon as the player development coordinator for basketball with Phil Fulmer being Assistant AD...

No charges have been pressed, which means no laws have been broken. Its shames me that Roy is a UT alum.

I would agree with this. There has to be a case pending for obstruction of justice. Stuff gets stolen all the time and nobody reports it. Those people should go to jail?

The misconceptions people have about what the law is and how it operates are pretty bewildering.

Hearing the audio I linked, this guy is an embarrassment, I hope what you're saying is true about him being disassociated from the University. Not even going to listen to the Finebaum stuff...

But what do I know, I'm just a mindless Nazi...

I do find it kinda troubling that Dooley didn't meet with the coaches and didnt express interest in getting to know them. I'd love to believe its not true, but multiple people have gotten on that show and said it was. I'd doubt they all just call in and lie.

Is it too much to ask to not break an NCAA regulation or even not LOOK like you are breaking one. If CDD had stopped to meet with the coaches and EVEN ONE HS recruits was there, people would be on CDD like stink on you know what. All CDD has to do is to be glad handing a coach and a player walks up and there is a violation. Give the guy a break. We just dodged a freaking NCAA firestorm. Why do we want to get back into one?

I think I said this already on another thread, but it sounds to me like the atmosphere in Memphis is that a bunch of old rich boosters from multiple schools live there and they buy recruits. It seems like DD is not out bowing and scraping to the good ole boy network, or greasing palms like he "should be" and that's causing a stir among the locals because that's not how business is done there.

Now, I'm not saying Dooley is too noble to cheat, but considering what we just went through with the NCAA I think it's a good move.

It's not a violation to talk to high school coaches at a function to create an open relationship with them.
