The large majority of our fans said 10-2 or 11-1. A few said 9-3, a few said 12-0. Before the season if I said Sutton, DKJ, JRM, Sapp would all be out during the 4 games stretch would you still have those expectations?

As long as we win out and make the SEC championship. I'll be happy and think this season was a success

Predict this will go as well as when you tell your wife the same thing.

Anyhow - I happen to agree. We are marching to Atlanta and burning every stadium along the way.

Rest up. Heal. And then it's time for war.

No. Honestly.

You are correct to a point. I was one who said 11-1 without any catastrophic injuries to the team. Well we have been utterly decimated by injuries.

The problem is, some fans are now worried about the rest of the season. A loss like this can have lasting effects on players and coaches. Now that UF looks to be imoroved with LDR back, it even amplifies the worry. Because I dont know if they will lose another SEC game. So wouldnt it be Tennessee's luck, beat UF and UGA in the same season since Moses walked in flip flops and UF still goes to Atlanta over us.

Truth. 10-2 and SEC CG are another improvement year under Butch. This was the expectation of most of the fan base this year. If we win out then we met those expectations assuming UF loses another SEC game. We've done well all things considered.

I would definitely say 1-3, especially when you look at what OL they've had to shuffle and puton the field.

The problem is that we've struggled against inferior teams, even when we were relatively healthy. Now that we are banged up, teams that we didn't think were an issue, suddenly become much tougher to beat if we are not on our A-game.

We've not come out and demolished any team on a level where anyone could say that the rest of our season is a lock.

They lose at Arkansas AND at LSU.

I'm a card carrying Nega....and I honestly expected this loss. I'm not happy about how we looked, but it's ok. Butch proved something to me during the first three games of this tough stretch, and during his post game comments tonight. He seems to be growing into the job. Changes have to made for sure, because this loss was embarrassing....to Butch more than anyone. But it can be a program changing loss, and a positive one. I think it will be.

Butch has a free week to get people healthy, and to start making adjustments for the stretch run where we always get well. 10-2 is where I thought we'd be, and halfway through the season we're looking it in the eye. It'll be another major improvement, especially if we can make it to Atlanta. I'm not sure what there is to realistically gripe about. If you didn't think this type of loss was possible, or that we couldn't somehow squeak out a win, you're either delusional or haven't been paying attention. We're neither as bad, nor as good as many here believe.

IF we can get to 10-2, regardless of what UF does, we'll be ok, and continue the build. Butch can certainly keep selling playing time and lack of depth, while improving every year. Problem is, w/ this teams injuries, and inconsistency, I don't see us running the table...we certainly can, but guess we'll have to see who can get back on the field after the smoke clears from a week off and healing up. Kirkland should be back, and will be a good start. We really need to work on offense. D will be ok if we can keep them off the field against rest of opponents. Seems like Debord has no scheme for when we have a bad first down play...some of that has to do w/ OL. Screen passes on 3rd and long don't cut it.

The players and coaches are fine. The fans are the ones throwing temper tantrums on message boards and Twitter. Its as if they expected us to go undefeated. I say undefeated every year, but I am realistic that we May lose a game. We have gotten better each year.

Dobbs was running for his life. The tackles looked like they were in roller skates. The rush was getting there so fast, not much could've been done.

Somehow though I feel like this season is the peak for Butch. I don't honestly believe he knows how to coach players at this level (elite level). I think you are witnessing the best this team will ever be under him.

We had stay fresh for the 4th depth not massive injury depth.

We win out got to SECCG beat bama and make the playoffs.

Plan C all the way to Tampa.

The truth is that Tennessee is precisely where pretty much every prognosticator not associated with the program or with a vested interest like those on this board thought we'd be. The stats, the talent, everything pointed to us winning our first five and losing these two. Just because we have unrealistic expectations doesn't mean the team failed. Yes, Alabama whacked us--just like #22 Arkansas last week and USC in week 1. Frankly, it was just our turn and the injuries to critical players of course didn't help. But jumping off the ledge because we are what we should be is just crazy.

LDR sucks tho, threw 3 picks today.. Florida has a good shot at losing one between LSU and Arky. Gotta be more worried about ourselves winning out than Florida losing. muschamp has had our number and today didn't make me feel any better about our chances. Go Vols regardless
