don't think it matters as far as Gruden is concerned. his is only "big coaches" name I've heard.

I had Gruden at less than 10% chance to be here up until about a week ago. At that juncture, everyone that I've talked with says he isn't coming so I reduced to less than 5% chance. He is an NFL guy and that is where folks see him going.

this amendment does not address the academic requirements that are the issues between the athletic and academic sides. the BOT meeting had nothing on agenda, to my knowledge, that would address any of that.

those issues are still present. Those issues have built up over 10 years. removing Cheek is only a start to resolving them and it might take years to get where they need to be

What if Gruden is precluded from accepting an NFL job due to stipulations in his ESPN contract? Not a whole lot of teams in the league that would want to expose their schemes, game plans, and players to a Super Bowl winning coach that might be taking over a team next season IMO. Or has Larry reviewed that contract already?

Larry,

I understand it that Cheek now has a better under standing, so he says, of athletics and will work harder to make both the ADs goals and the universities goals happen. Basically, be a top 25 research university and allow the Football team to be on a level playing field in the SEC. You agree?

Or they have been told to say he is not coming or not likely coming to make it more of a surprise!:)

So in summary, earlier this week it was important enough that Hubbs wrote like 1500 words about it. So we waited anxiously for the vote to happen and it passed - like we wanted. Now the people who purport to know what it all means say that it isn't important and doesn't help much at all. That about cover it?
