Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

My experience with digital downloads has been the exact opposite. I'm pretty confident in saying I'll never buy another game on disc again. The convenience of being able to switch seamlessly between games without swapping out discs is awesome, plus since you can buy it right from the console, you don't have to fool with going to a store to buy it. I think if you bought one ahead of time and pre-loaded it, you'd have a better experience. I've already got Halo downloaded and ready to go for next week, it's just a matter of them making it playable at midnight on Tuesday.

I'm in the same boat. Also, we have two Xbox One's at my house. With digital, we can buy one copy have have it playable on both consoles at the same time. Therfore, with games like Call of Duty I'm now buying one copy instead of two.

Can you play it on both at the same time??

Yep. Basically, I set his xbox as my "home xbox" and my xbox is set as his "home xbox".

For example: I buy all the games and download them on my xbox (which is set in the settings as his "home xbox"). Because I purchased the games, I can download them and play them on any xbox I'm signed in on. In this case, in Microsoft's eyes, I'm playing my games on his xbox.

Since my son's xbox is set as my "home xbox" all the games I purchase are available on his machine to log in and play by anyone who signs in. There's actually a menu on this system that shows purchased games available for download. In essence he is logging into my home xbox, therefore he has access to my entire library.

We've tested it with Destiny to make sure we are both able to play at the same time. It works fine.

I've bought two copies of multiple games over the years so this should save me quite a bit of money.

That is awesome. Saves you a lot of money!

Nonsense. Everyone knows that this DRM style of selling games is BS and that Microsoft are nothing but greedy a-holes who want to screw gamers over as much as possible.

Seriously though, I can see two potential headaches with downloading all your games, and both have to do with the sheer size of the files. First, it doesn't take a degree in advanced mathematics to see that the 500 GB hard drive that comes with the standard console is going to be woefully inadequate, and it also isn't upgradeable without voiding your warranty. Secondly, in the unfortunate event your console breaks and you have to replace it, it's going to take an eternity to redownload all those games.

I agree with both of those points.

Some USB 3.0 external drives are reported to have faster load times than the internal. I'll probably pick up a 2TB WD soon, but it's certainly another expense to account for.

This game's campaign has got to my favorite so far out of the CoD franchise. I have even went through it twice just to unlock the multiplayer gear you can get for accomplishing the goals it has.

I need to look into this. Plus, I heard you can get codes off doritos and mtn dew to get more gear as well.

Loving the game tho. So glad that they went back to the Black Ops, Modern Warfare style gameplay, I hated Ghosts

Very cool campaign. Didn't care for the ending too much but other than that, I enjoyed the hell out of it
