call me whatever, I only see 2 possible losses in 2015

I see an 8-4 regular season. We lose to Alabama, Florida, Mizzou and Arkansas and win the rest. Shake it up some and replace some teams with others, but we still end up the same, maybe one win more. 2016 is the year they shine.

Some of the posters on here are setting themselves up for a huge disappointment next season. We are not going undefeated or 1 loss unless every star aligns perfectly for us. I see 8-4, 9-3 regular season and a bowl victory. 2016 is the year we really shine.

When we lose a game next year, these posters with such unrealistic expectations are going to be calling for some various coaches head. Just wait for it.

Your ego has been the problem with from the start. You took an argument or two with me out of the context of EVERYTHING I say and believe... developed an impression that you considered "true"... attached you ego to it... then refused to see things that disprove that impression.

I don't hate Jones. I want him to succeed. I think he's done some great things. I think there are some questions to be answered yet about things that have not been great... and most of all... I'm not into blind faith. He can make what seems to be every right move but it still has to result in wins.

According to you... that's "negative" or an attempt to tear him and the program down. So yeah. Your unwillingness to consider that you were wrong is the "problem". That and apparently an inability or unwillingness to consider any degree of complexity beyond good/bad, white/black, support/destroy, blind faith/disloyalty....

Lighten' up kid. Your opinion is not that important.:)

While it is good to be a Vol, I see a few more.

Until we beat Florida, I will never write them off.
Mizzou is a threat, I hate to admit it but Pinkel overachieved based on talent.
Arkansas finished this season with ridiculous momentum.
Don't underestimate Oklahoma, while we may end up favored in that game, it is not an auto win.

Everyone else I expect to beat, although South Carolina is not a really a given.

This makes me sound like a negavol, but I still think we might be looking at a 9-10 win regular season this year. I think we lose Bama, and lose two out of OU, Mizzou, UGA, and Arkansas and maybe Florida. If we don't beat Florida we truly are cursed against them.

if saying we are a 9-10 win team next year makes you a negavol......

In full disclosure, I expected Mizzou to fall off this year but once again they lived a "charmed" life while playing an easy schedule. HOWEVER... I just don't see their streak continuing. After losing their top 3 receivers from last year... they lose their top 4 this year and return no one at WR that has more than 5 receptions in a season. Their top returning receiver over all is a TE with 21 catches in two years.... then you add Mauk who is a terrible passer and ESPECIALLY when you look at the short and intermediate game where passing accuracy is important.

Lucas who pretty much single handedly salvaged their season at times... is gone. A ton of production is gone from their DL. They lose their best DB.

If Jones is what we all hope he is... I think UT starts a long string of wins vs MU this fall.

Apparently it is to you... repeatedly you follow me around and post your objections and complaints about my opinions.

Edit: Just checked and the vast majority of your most recent posts are to or about me... Not about UT football. Not about opinions on UT football... outside of mine. You and some other guy even brought me up in a thread I hadn't posted in. Not only do you seem to think my opinion IS that important... You seem to be obsessed with it.:loco:

Shucks if we are going 10-2 we might as well go ahead and win those other 2 games, finish the regular season at 12-0, win the SECCG, then 2 playoff games, finish the year at 15-0 with a nice big Shiney Trophy. Just sayin.

Sounds good to me.

^most underrated post of the thread

:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

The most underrated post of the thread is a post by someone who spends considerable time following someone around whose opinion doesn't matter that much and answering their posts....

That just drips with irony....

If it can be any more ironic... it occurred in a thread where I supported the OP's premise that UT could be a 10 or 11 win team in '15... when the guy you gave props to claims that all I do is post negative things about Jones and the program.

I think that a lot of that has to do with the difference in objective and subjective posts...

Feelings vs facts, if you will.

I take them both and make a delicious orange punch.

Vols win the East next year, in my objective + subjective opinion.

I see 12 possible wins.

Ark will be every bit as tough as Geo or obammer.

Mizzou has to go down next year as they once again lose their starting 3 WRs, Murphy, an OL guy, Ray/Golden and 3 other starters on D. Still got Pinkel though.

Flo will still be good on Defense but their offense could stumble, especially early.

OK IDK but they quit on Stoops this year and I expect them to lose a lot of starters.

Just asking: So now if we don't win that many next season, is it a failure to produce results in your opinion?

Nowhere did I say that your opinion doesn't offer a great deal of entertainment value. In fact I think I made it fairly clear that I find your compulsion to draw and present your negatively biased conclusions as if you were making a fair evaluation quite fascinating. There is a pat on the back.....feel better?

I think I get what you are saying. There are other "possible" losses but you think UT should have the advantage.

There's only one game right now that I don't like UT's chances in- Bama. Taken as individual games between individual teams without considering injuries or other things... I think the other 11 are very winnable. For the last couple of years, I think there were 8 "winnable" games or so on the schedule. For the reasons you mention and more, I think that's up to 11.

I think UT will win at least 8 of them.

IMHO, it ultimately comes down to answering the questions at LT. Unless the Vols get hammered by injuries, the other pieces appear to be in place.

sjt18, the fact that you got ripped by someone as being anti-Butch for this post is truly a testament to how delusional the fan base is becoming. You claimed that 11 of our 12 games next year are winnable, and you believe that we will probably win at least 8 of those 11 games. I think both your 11 winnable games and your 8 wins out of those 11 games are a stretch. This team will still be EXTREMELY young next year.

Oh this argument goes back to mid season when he made great effort to assess as much blame upon Jones and staff as possible for what he quickly decided was a failing program.

I suggest you seek professional help for this unhealthy obsession you've developed on sjt18. If anything, his post was overly optimistic. The fact that you're apparently Volnation-stalking him for something that happened months ago is sad and pathetic.
