Well.... he plays for one of the best HSs in the nation. Therefore his team is rarely overmatched. The first time I’ve personally seen it was his last game and although it can be argued that one int hit the receivers hands it can also be argued the ball was high. Either way there were 3 more ints that were all on him. Now every qb has a bad day. I get that but it’s alarming knowing this was the first time I can remember that the talent was equal on both teams. He’s coming FROM a top 10 HS team and going TO one of the worst teams in the SEC. I just think people may be setting themselves up for disappointment and it’s not going to be his fault.I'm not following him closely. What did he show that gave you cause for concern?
I don’t see it. Watched him many times. People say he had a bad game but don’t take into consideration that was the first time his TEAM was overmatched. He’s not nearly what most think he is right now.
But I think it is still possible to get to 6 wins. Miss St, Vandy, UK, and USCjr are all disasters too. Maybe not at our level yet, but they are all bad too. If we kinda mature a little bit we could beat them and possibly UAB.
I think he would IF (and that’s a big ass IF) he showed improvement from year to year. This year is off to a bad start so let’s say we end up 2-10 but under a qb change. I can see him surviving at 5-7 or 6-6 in 2020 as long as he was still grooming a young QB and the 6 or 7 losses were not blowoutsThat is certainly bad news.
If true, we must go the transfer portal route.
Pruitt won’t survive three losing seasons and no bowls.
I know. It’s unfortunate that VN is so starved for success that it’s come to putting all our dreams on the shoulders of a 17 or 18 year old kid. And if said 17-18 year old kid doesn’t live up to expectations he’ll be called a bust before he’s had a chance to learn. Look at how many have already written off BM and JTS for next year on merely 6 drives of college experience. So many on VolNation do this every year...
