The simple truth is, we should be capable of beating EVERYONE. Most people agree that every game besides Bama is winnable. But what? Why is Bama not winnable? Replacing a lot of people, its at home, we hung with Bama for a half without our star QB and WR, and we now have more depth on Defense. It is certianly winnable.

We have more depth and talent than we've had n a long time.. Pray for no injuries..

If Dooley and the staff have control of this team and they stay healthy then yes this is highly possible and we should be very competitive all year. This season will tell us a lot about Coach Dooley. I choose to remain optimistic yet also be realistic. I bleed orange though, and pray for a helluva season.

If The Big Orange go perfect in September, the SEC East is all ours. Why you ask?

Well, might as well call NC State the first game in September, it's only one day away from being there. I look at it as a long September stretch with only three tough games out of 5. I don't see one problem handling NC State and honestly not a problem with Florida after losing some big names and trying to rebuild, I think Florida is in turmoil a little bit and it's gonna take them a while. Everyone seems to be on this Georgia train for only God Knows Why. They lost some guys, some more guys have gotten into trouble, and honestly, I see a dark horizon in Athens. They won't come close. I am not saying we are guaranteed to win these three top games but we should without a doubt.

We return the most starters in the whole SEC, and we are experienced. My prediction nonetheless... We roll through September which puts a lock on the East. Not afraid of the rest of the schedule at all except for Bama which I believe could be a pretty tight contest.

THOUGHTS???

AND GO BIG ORANGE
still got to get past SC

I'm amazed at the number of people thinking Florida is an easy win. I'll believe it when I see it. 5-0, sure.

My reason behind thinking we get a big win is because they won't know what to do without Demps and Rainey. It's gonna take at least a year, maybe 2 to get over that hump.

i think a win in this game would be the result of Bama having a bad game or some costly turnovers. they are stacked and we are resting our 3-4 d line hopes on McCullers who hasnt played a snap yet.

I would say we need a turnover or two yes. But its certianly winable. Its not like Bama has to throw 4 pick 6's for us to win. If we win 1-3 point heart throbber though for sure. Florida, it could go that way, but I would not be too too surprised to win by 10+.

This season will be like walking a tight rope high in the air with no net. Can we get to the other side (SEC Championship Game) safely? Yes. But if we begin to wobble (an unexpected loss early) then I fear it will only get worse the further we proceed into the season. The team's and fan's psyche is somewhat fragile at the moment. I'm not sure it can withstand the pressure of an early loss. GBO!

If the 05 Vandy loss had never happened, that streak would have been longer than the KY streak by now.

Some of us have seen the Vols lose to Vandy and KY in the same season more than once in our lifetime. The football program has been light years better than Vandy the past 15 years.

Yeah we lost, it sucks, it had to happen at some point and time. I would rather lose it when were at rock bottom than to lose it with a BCS bowl bid on the line.

fyp.......we are not at rock bottom, we are only in a big dip.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

-George Santayana (1905) Reason in Common Sense, volume 1 of The Life of Reason

Big difference in remembering the past and dwelling/wallowing in the past....BIG difference. Either remember and learn or dwell/wallow and learn nothing. Pick a side. I remember, remember how it stings, but am looking forward to hanging 70+ on them in November.
