California Lunacy Thread

Let's assune you were right. Would that justify ICE agents going into places where illegal immigrants tend to congregate and just start shooting them? No.

Point is, there's a way to to do things that isn't wholesale disregard of human or constitutional rights and you don't get to suspend that just because youre mad, really mad, at the situation.
Shooting, no. Arresting, yep.

Trump doesn't care about the guardsmen or the troops. Once they serve the purpose of giving him some good photos for the MAGA crowd, Trump doesn't give a rat's azz whether they are taken care of or are comfortable.
Didn't brain dead Biden have them sleeping in a parking garage in the winter? These are phony crocodile tears.

You left off the final, crucial step, and that is that the protests/riots in LA are no longer about ICE, they are about Trump's insanely obvious political overreaction to the situation over the weekend. And that is the entire source of the protests and any violence anywhere else growing out of this.

This stopped being about ICE on Sunday. This is overwhelmingly now about reacting to Trump sending in the NG and preparing to send in the military when it was completely unnecessary, or at least long after it was necessary.
you really think the people protesting and rioting are putting that fine of a point to their logic? that there was some mythical break in what they were doing when Trump sent in the Guard Sunday night? what can you, or anyone, link to the NG being involved?

The violence we saw on the 101 had nothing to do with the NG. those were local PD.
the burning of the Waymo vehicles was no where near the NG.
People were still predominately waving Mexican flags, not the California bear.

There was certainly protesting right in front of the NG, but there was also existing protests in the same areas. and it has remained just protesting. if they were the spark as you pretend, I would expect them to be the center of the worse violence, and they simply aren't.

a more logical conclusion would just be to link to the time of day. more protesters at night than during the day makes sense. and more of those protestors becoming rioters/looters at night also makes sense. and once the rioting/looting starts, and it isn't shut down, that tends to spread like wild fire. the NG were a coincidence rather than the spark.

Precedent has been set but I do agree military should never be used on us soil against citizens.

Very slippery slope.

National guard yes. Marines hell no.
Consider the times. Trump has said recently that he won't allow the dems to destroy their cities again.

I agree except with the NG, I'm fine with a governor calling out his NG to assist in riot control. 100% against the federal government doing it.
