California Lunacy Thread

We would miss California, it is like 70% of our Pacific Coastline.

Frankly, we should have never let it be a single state. The Atlantic Seaboard has like 20 states on it but we have only 3 for the Pacific with 1 taking up most the critical coast line.
Yeah, I‘ve thought about that. We would have to maintain an access corridor to San Diego, LA, and/or San Fran.

No, I am not afraid that this will turn into a Civil War. I don’t have a problem if it did, we’re heading that way so I’d rather get it over with before I’m too old to take care of my family.

I just vehemently oppose the federal government using the military on US soil for law enforcement. It’s unfair to the soldiers and it’s unconstitutional.

Don't get me wrong, I sympathize with this point, even in the current situation but to say it is 100% Unconstitutional is kind of silly when George Washington did it:

I am pretty sure the First President and Congress had a pretty solid understanding of the Constitution since most of them wrote it.

With people who generally are just willing to protest anything goaded on by Trump and evil Miller trying to mollify the MAGA base by knocking some heads around. It was completely unnecessary from the getgo.

people who generally are just willing to protest anything?

You mean people looking to rampage, pillage, and burn over pretty much anything? Those people?

You know, you guys are all about states rights. Until it’s convenient that you’re not. Had Biden called in the NG to Tennessee against the wishes of its Governor - AND THEN MARINES - to “quell its population”, you would have lost your friggin mind.

I’d call you a Trump lacky and hypocrite, but why regurgitate the obvious truth.
The NG was called in to protect federal buildings

I think Wallace was a dirtbag, Johnson (JFK was worm food) should have sent US Marshals instead of federalizing the NG.

But since you asked about Kennedy and what I think about him, he's in the bottom 10% of US presidents. His short administration was a disaster, the only reason he is revered today is because of the Camelot BS and he got killed.
Help me out, hog. https://www.nationalguard.mil/Portals/31/Documents/FEDERALIZATION-OF-GUARD-UP-TO-2025.pdf states Kennedy federalized the Mississippi National Guard and the Alabama National Guard. Where do you rank Johnson?

Based on this speech and what I've seen recently from the right I have zero faith that our country will do anything but dig deeper into partisan idiocy. All anyone wants to do is blame the other side and pit us all against each other.

Newsome is every bit the joke Trump is. Good god this country is toast.

The posse comitatus act wasn’t passed until 1878, didn’t apply to GW.

that Jackboot thinking fits too tight for my comfort. with little reason to think otherwise.

we haven't even hit the '92 LA riot levels yet.
I’m here for LAPD and all other law enforcement completely pulling back from the city - just like they did in ‘92. Let them burn it.

Think the mob will try their luck with KoreaTown again?
