I didn't think it would be that high with the teams being ranked so close together but it is still July

the only thing I can say is that Pac-10 will be humiliated by Tennessee, period.

Wait for it...

Wait for it.....

Only a matter of time till Teddy"Seth"head the homer above all homers comes and hijacks this thread and uses the nodding head "yes" smiley - considering he agrees with every article in the media that praises Cal or disses Tennessee. He ought to be more original atleast..

 Am I right or what?

Almost all of us have been predicting that Cal would be favored in this game. Where's the newsflash?

1. We always play a great first game.
2. We are good on the road.
3. Cal is not as good as last year and we had no problem with them.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Did these people not learn anything from last year? :realmad:

And now I just saw an article on ESPN.com talking about Cal having the most potent offense in the country. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't "they" say that about last year's Cal team? And this team doesn't have Lynch or 7 of its top 10 OL's from last year. What a d*** joke.

Oh well....as sweet as last year's a** whoppin was I think I'm going to enjoy this year's even better. The only thing better than proving someone wrong is proving them wrong twice so they can't claim it was a fluke. :)

I'm no expert in the whole sports betting world but isn't the spreads determined by the betting? Not by an expert or a board of expert in some room in Vegas.

Berkley being closer to Vegas than Knoxville would lead me to believe that earlier bets would yeild more in favor of Cal making the spread what it is.

Am I completely wrong?

The line can move with the betting but they have to start somewhere right? People get paid a lot of money to come up with these lines. I don't know that 6.5 is that bad but it will move between now and kickoff.

The people setting the line are not interested in who will win the game. They want the bets to be split down the middle and collect their money.

True.

Newport News? I'm in your neck of the woods as we speak. Chesapeake, VA.

If it's true, I think it's a good thing for us. Our biggest enemy is being over confidant, but I like our chance.

Rest assured, we want to be an underdog going into this game. The bigger the spread, the better.
