Okay guys...
I know the alumni are lame. But the team has stunk for 50 years (five bowl appearances since 1959 until Tedford arrived)! They're not going to start getting loud now--it's still primarily a chance for the old folks to network with old friends, meet their kids, what-not. That side of the stadium has to be implored by the students to stand up if it's not a three point game. It's awful but inevitable.
By contrast, the Student Section (and the young alumni wedged next to them) has become incredibly raucous during the Tedford era, especially during the Oregon/UCLA primetime games last year. I expect them to be pretty loud, even if it isn't SEC loud. Let the old alumni have their toys.
