Yeah Directv has a 2 year plan that automatically re-ups everytime you change anything. That includes if you have a service call and they fix something. Really sleazy thing to do if you ask me.

I have charter cable and internet right now. I've had them for almost two years now and I believe I've had enough. They have always found ways to screw up billing, they don't have great HD variety I feel like, and they also seem expensive. I pay $160 for digital basic, slow "high speed" internet, and two hd boxes. I'm considering switching to DirectV. Would this be a good alternative for cable at least? And what are some good options for internet providers? I'd like to be in the $100-$120 range for both. DVR would be a great extra as well. Any advice? How's Uverse with Directv?
Also, if you are going with Direct TV don't forget the refer a friend. You get $10 off a month for 10 months and so does the person that referred you. I have had direct TV for 3 years now. I have
1 DVR receiver
2 regular receivers
my monthly bill is $58 before taxes
The guy at directv specifically told me that if I had a service guy come out, it would extend my contract for 2 more years. So yes, that is true.
