Kid is fast, long strides, and he burns the opposing defenders when he fully hits his stride. He displays good awareness staying underneath the ball, and he uses his frame well to box out his opponent and grab the football at it's highest point. Doesn't play against the best competition in California, but it's not mediocre either. Also, he's a pretty competitive track and field athlete as well clocking some very good times in his sprint events. 24/7 says we've already got Tee on him, so we already have one of our best recruiters getting in early on the process.

He's a track guy also. Had a PR of 10.75 as a Sophomore. Definitely a burner.

Yep, ran a 10.59 last spring for a new 100m PR.

And while most recruiting outlets have given him an "Athlete" designation, Henderson says the majority of schools he's spoken to hope to use him on the defensive side of the ball, a move his current coach believes will pay big dividends. "I think he could have an unlimited ceiling," Liberty coach Bryan Nixon said. "He's really only played defensive back for two years now, and he's just gotten so much better over the course of the last year. As he continues to work on his craft and the intricacies that come with his position, he's going to get so much better."
Liberty star Henderson ready to burst on the Power Five scene

Oooh, nice! Anyone happen to know if he’s been here before?
He has not.

Interesting there is a disparity between his composite score and 247's, as they have him as a 90 overall. Definitely a burner. Needs to tighten up his route running a bit but definitely a good looking player.

He said most schools are recruiting him for defense.

Committable Oklahoma offer for a WR is all I need to see. Take all day long.

EDIT: Also Tee is his main recruiter so I’m assuming he’s a WR if we get him

247 evaluation...

Henderson is an intriguing two-way prospect who has the top-end speed and hands to be an elite playmaking receiver but the ball skills to be a cover cornerback. Creates separation and consistently gets behind the defender but needs to be consistent in his route running. Defensively, has the length and speed to recover and cover all types of receivers, but still raw in his technique. An accomplished 100m and 200m runner, ran a 10.59 as a junior. Projects as multi-year Power 5 starter and projects as third-day NFL draft selection.

Sounds like a Pruitt CB to me

If the numbers work out, the Vols want to add another skill guy (not named Darnell Washington) to the 2020 class. California athlete Ramon Henderson is another name to know. Tennessee really likes the Liberty High prospect’s upside at receiver. Oklahoma was the team to beat for Henderson early on, but the Sooners have filled up at wideout, opening a door for Notre Dame, UCLA and UT.

Henderson has already visited ND and he’s set to see UCLA next weekend. He’s currently penciled in a visit to Tennessee for the final week (Dec. 13) before the early signing period.
