Tonight with the Trash Pandas, C-Mo hits 2 home runs for 3 RBI’s, including the walk off 2 run home run in the bottom of the 9th tonight.

In case people didn’t see it all year, he is showing why he was the best player in the SEC. He was screwed out of every major award and should have been at least a finalist for Golden Spikes, along with SEC player of the year. The man is simply amazing!

C-Mo could be playing in Knoxville with the Trash Pandas when they visit here.

The Chattanooga Lookouts will be the first opponent in the new stadium next season,

I miss the days of Memphis and Nashville being in the Southern League.

Same here! I’m planning on going too but I hope he doesn’t get promoted too soon!!! 😂
Make that three. I got tickets to the Chattanooga Saturday and Sunday night games right after he was drafted. When he was assigned to low-A, I was afraid he wouldn't be a Trash Panda in time. Now I'm just begging for him to hang on there for a couple more weeks before moving on up! I mean, I'd love to see him in the bigs next week, but selfishly I'd like to see him a couple more times before he goes. LA is a lot more difficult to visit than Chattanooga.

The old Southern League with Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Birmingham, Huntsville, and Greenville was perfect. I don’t know if all of those teams were ever in it at the same time, but I wish they were.

You’re sounding old, my friend.
Don Mattingly, Willie McGee, Bo Jackson, Tom Glavine, Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco, were a few of the guys I saw playing for those teams in the Southern League as a kid. Although I was really small when Mattingly and McGee played, but my uncle used to take me and his sons to those games.

Cool, and what city did you watch these guys? I grew up in Memphis.

Different ones. Saw the first 2 in Nashville. The others I saw in Huntsville, either as Stars or Stars opponents. I grew up in Franklin and my family had friends who were part owners of the Stars in Huntsville, which was only an hour drive.

Also recall seeing Steve Avery against the Sounds as a Richmond Brave. But for arm injury, he was bound for the HOF.

That’s all pretty cool.

Came to post that Christian Moore would be in town playing this week against the Tennessee Smokies but after looking up how he has been doing, it looks like he injured his meniscus in his left knee on August 30th.

Doubt he plays anymore this season and will shut it down.
