Wasn't he supposed to make a decision today? It would be nice to add an ILB to this recruiting class.

I'll be disappointed if we can't recruit a kid away from Cincy, especially when we can legitimately offer him the carrot of early playing time.

He made a comment about the greater visibility of team cohesion up there, which is discouraging and underlines just how much this program needs a strong leader among its players.

Of course we didn't have leadership last year our SRs were horrible. Poole and Malik were the only decent ones, and idk about you but I don't want one of my teams "leaders" to be a guy who quit on the previous coaching staff in the middle of a freakin game.

Did skeeter aka Dooley say he had committed?

Mr Bynum called in around 8:00 last evening to say that he would be joining the Vols. Then he called the Cincy coaches and they gave him another earful to chew on. So until he faxes the LOI, who knows?

FedEx is scheduled to deliver "The Presidental Recommendation" to him around 3:00 this afternoon.

Can our coaches contact him, or does he need to make the call? I sure hope that we can call him and give him second earful to chew on.

UT didn't contact him til a day before signing day.. Cinci has had a relationship with him for a while.. Wouldn't surprise me if he stays loyal to cinci.. Even tho he has a great chance to contribute at UT early..

Who are you referring to?

I know we're kind of desperate for linebackers, but Bynum surely looks more like a strong safety to me.

Anyone realize Bynum has a teammate from high school who is also a LB that signed with Cincy in this class? Ey'Shawn McClain, 3 star LB. This puts them at an advantage if you ask me. They also signed 3 more LBs from Florida in this class, but from different schools.

Poole. He refused to go into the last game of his Soph year when Kiffin was the coach. That shows a lot of character.

I am not saying Poole got a fair shake by Kiffy but it does make you wonder if him staying through all the coaches was more reflective of his ability to read a depth chart as opposed to a reflection on the content of his character and/or dedication to the program

I'm sorry but this comment sounds about immature.

You're going to grade our recruiting on a Kid that was committed to Cincy and was recruited by Cincy for a long time if he chooses Cincy over UT who showed up the day before NSD?

I bet you're one of the same guys that hated on Santo's for leaving us over Texas even though they offered at the last minute.

Shallow people make shallow claims. I bet you don't praise the coaches if they do land the kid? But you will gladly be dissappointed.

People are clueless. He has current relationships with players and coaches, and his mind was already made up. It would be difficult for me or my son to change just because its UT and we have a better hot tub.
I hope we get him. Same size and speed as Otha. Just not hyped.

Everything I've seen says there was supposed to be a decision today. Hope he is a Vol. He will def see time on special teams. And if we have more injuries he will see real pt.

I've seen "the comment" misrepresented on here a few times, but I Have a VQ subscription and that is not what he said.
He said he got to visit Cincy during the season so he was able to see the team cohesion first hand. With Tn, all he got to see was guys working out with weights and so, while he was pretty sure the players were unified like Cincys, it was hard to know, when all he had to go by was a workout session.
So, what is being portrayed on here is not what was said.
