Bye Week Question - Favorite Non-Household name Vol of all time?

Bill Duff...stopped Eddie George cold as Vols beat Ohio State in 1996 Citrus Bowl. He later became an expert in Korean Street Fighting, known as the "Human Weapon."

Duff was from my era. Awesome dude that was part of a small group of us that restarted FCA in the 90's.

So many of my faves already named. So I’m going to go with one of the most important

Jeff Hall

May be a bit of a house hold name for a kicker but my pick would also be Jeff Hall. Jeff and I became good friends. Went to church most Sundays together. Unfortunately, lost touch over the years with life, family, work, etc. But I have really good memories from my time at UT and in the athletics circles. I'm grateful to have met and known a lot of genuinely good people back then who are VFLs.

Also, I believe I've mentioned before but since we open with Syracuse, we did so in 1998 and Jeff kicked the game winning field goal. I have a game ball from that game. A lot of similarities between '98 and '25. Hmm.

If we are basing this on a name only then Jim Bob Cooter is a runaway winner. I saw another poster or 2 has already posted this so just agreeing.

Jeff is a friend of mine and he is a great dad, husband, friend, and a solid Christian man.
