After playing our best game to date. Time to heal, great but what about the momentum . Thoughts?

From what Ive heard the momentum had carried over to the practices before the break. If they practice with high energy, they will bring the momentum with them all the way to game day.

simply enough, the energy will carry over because it's Bama. This year, the 4th Saturday of October.

They need time to heal. The bye week gives monte extra time to come up with a great Defensive plan.
There are pros and cons to everything but IMO the need this week off.

Lots of pros like you guys said.

The con as I see it is we finally got some timing/ production from the passing game. Sometimes the break hurts that.

But MK getting an extra week v a pro style O is worth it.

I feel pretty good about our chances.

Plus an extra week to revamp kick off coverage, seems to me they have to many over pursuing (not breaking down) speedsters out there, i dunno, I hope Palardy can consistintly boom to the back of the end zone when he gets here

I think it is great we get some rest and get some guys back and hope it does not hurt our timing but....

let's be real...for us to win...we have to play our best game and bammer play their worst.
i hope it happens but......................

I think it came at a good time this year. Two weeks to prepare for what will be a very physical game.

I think if we had lost to UGA, the bye would have come at a horrible time. With the win we have momentum that can carry into practices, and there are several players that need time to heal up as well.

The pro is this staff is all over the country recruiting and getting national exposure while we are not even playing this Saturday! Also it gives them 2 weeks to prepare for the Tide. Even though it was WKU, look at what they did when they had all summer to prepare for a game? I think the bye going into Bama is a HUGE advantage right now for this team.

The con is next Saturday can't get here fast enough.

Time to heal and recruiting the big pros along with Monte and the staff having two weeks to prepare for Alabama....Anxious to see how Crompton does in a very hostile atmosphere after his best game of his career last Saturday...

Hopefully, the kicking game has been a priority....

The major con, on a personal note,is no UT football this weekend to watch....

GO VOLS !!

Def more pros than cons. Under Fulmer I could see more cons during an off week the majority of the time but it seems like CLK has kept practice at a high level and maintained the winning attitude coming off last week. IMO our staff is able to scheme better than the last staff to each given opponent rather than doing the same crap against every team. Maybe because we finally realize not every team runs a pro-style offense??? hmmm.

But nevertheless I think two weeks to scheme against an Alabama pro style offense Monte is used to will only help this team. Thank god we don't have to face anymore weird high school crap...because as we've seen turnovers are inevitable with that style, and it will eventually catch up with you as Auburn learned last week. AU was lucky not to turn the ball over against us, esp on that fumble on their own goaline. Otherwise it could have been a different game.

The benefits of the bye way outweigh the cons: We have the extra time to rest up, coach up, etc and such.
