Bye Fulmer

Where was the emotion, the passion, the intensity, and the urgency last night? We continued to punt the ball away in the 4th quarter as if we were trying not to lose by too many...

We need a coach that can infuse intensity and passion into our football program...Pearl did it with the basketball team, there's no reason that we can't do it with the football team.
He lost his passion after 01.

I feel better now...he says he and his staff are going to "work like heck" to get better. Great...

How about "work like heck" and lose some weight - the guy is a walking plate of alfredo -

set an example Phil - you are a walking lack of discipline - how can you expect your team to show discipline - when you cant back away from the table??

It strikes me while listing to this show that Phil is really impressed with the Cal players.....I am impressed with their coach who is calling aggressive, smart plays on the sidelines.....he had intensity, passion and seemed to be alive!!!

idiots...who can you get to replace him? idiots

Well, judging by the performance last night...about 80% of all Pop Warner football coaches.:whistling:

BTW, does anybody have the number for the Appalachian State Football office?

Finally - a intelligent suggestion comes forth from the masses!!!

Offense looked decent-would have looked better with a different batch of plays called, but it's still the same, 3rd and 14 and we run the football-what else is new? On a highlight-I'd like to say welcome back to the "wide stripe" on the helmets, it's been gone too long.

I've been a constant supporter of Fulmer, but more importantly his OC and DC. After tonights game I'd like to recant my support - Chavis, Cutliff, and Phil can all leave at any time. I'm sick of the exact same excuses year after year. Maybe if we get some new blood in here we can get back to being a championship caliber football team.

Tackling was non-existant tonight, and the offensive gameplan consisted of 3 yard swing passes to Foster and Brown? We didn't even try to go downfield.

I realize that Cal is a formidable opponant, and they have a lot of talent, but the showing tonight leads me to believe that things are only going to stay the same until a major coaching overhaul is made.

Here's to another 8-4 season! Congrats Phil you'll meet your quota again.

Ainge being impaired with the pinky is exactly why we diddnt throw downfield and precisely why he never should have been in the game at all (or at least once it was obvious we needed to start trying to stretch their D).....all they did was play a underneath zone and wait for our runs and quik screens, hitches, etc.....IMO Crompton should have played because he could at least have scrambled and thrown deep when necessary.....and changed their coverages dramatically

I cant stand people who bash Fulmer. I mean the guy brought us a National Championship for the first time since 1948.

Who are we gonna get to replace him Bill Cowher????

He has had one losing season in 14 or 15 years and I know we are in the top 5 in wins in that span.

Tennessee fans are starting to be worse than kentucky basketball fans

Actually Bill Cowher is an excellent choice to hope for and so is Gruden.....why...at the very least both of those coaches have that "No BS allowed" attitudes and will get out of players what is needed to be brought out or they will simply not play.....Cowher lives in NC...Grudens wife is from Tennessee so its a good start....We need to hire a OC from the NFL or similar and "young gun" that is aggressive....We are now a passive team that plays not to lose....we dont play anymore to win and refuse to throw out all the stops in order to get a win....thats what coaching is....not just putting together some quik out passes that any QB could start the game 12-12 for 100 yrds.....Ainge should not have played past the 2nd qtr if he wasnt able to pass deep due to the injury...our defense and lack of a deep attack is why we lost
