Bye Chaney

Y’all really think Bailey (who missed multiple weeks bc of Covid19) could come in and make a difference vs the best defense in the SEC? If you do, then you’re insane. Get it through your head, they’re either equal or better then us at every position. The recruiting rankings prove it. Stop living in fantasy land.

If I'm Fulmer I have a discussion with Pruitt about the o line and the position coach. Being Fulmer is an expert on the position he can make it very clear more was and is expected. I think Friend has to go if this o line doesn't hold their own against Bama and the other elites on the schedule and dominate the rest. They looked like paper tigers today. We've gotten better production with more heart from walk ons in the past.

Lol. Pretty sure his job is Offensive Coordinator. Not QB coach. Maybe your missing the point. Maybe he should be a QB coach only.
Pretty sure I'm not and Pruitt is. He should be our qb coach/oc and in charge of personnel decisions at qb.

Chaney called the game much like he did last week. When Friend is your o line coach, JG us your qb and you're playing UGA what calls work best? Long 50/50 balls are about it

Sure he's terrible. Ask Drew Brees, Kyle Orton, Nate Peterman, Jake Fromm, Brandon Allen and Tyler Bray why they think they're in the NFL. Ok, you can have Crompton. He did get to the CFL for a bit.

I never said he was terrible. Offense looked vanilla, and predictable. I’m just lamenting the Amount of money we’re paying him with Osovet and Long on staff. Also we get nothing for the QBs that be put in the NFL 5-20 years ago. He’s not even our QB coach.

You accidentally hit the nail in the head. Does it seem logical to you that the guy that made and NFL qb out if Nate Peterman isn't also the qb coach? Is Weinke that prolific?

JG can't throw over the middle or to the sidelines. He's not mobile and the o line is poorly coached. That's why we see lots of long 50/50 passes and pray our WEs wins some battles. Nobody could have schemed a better game with JG behind that line today. Two anchors around one OCs neck

In case you didn’t notice, the o line created nothing for the rbs. As a result, we were one dimensional and never had a chance if we didn’t have the ball on the 50 yard line. Blame Chaney all u want but that “TVA” o line did nothing versus a Georgia d line that was equal in the recruiting rankings. The o line lost the battle in the trenches and as a result we got smashed.

I admit I overstated the part about outplaying but there were twins, I want to say Sullivan twins? Who were very undersized but held their own against some really good defenses and played with unparalleled heart..

Play calling sucks. If it's due to our QB also sucking, then send him back home already.

Yeah, what a great thread. We want to get rid of somebody who struggles to produce with an experienced quarterback he’s had for a two years. Sounds like what we’ve done the past 10 years.

We, as a community, know more than a coach that would still be at the school we just got hammered by, but we paid him more to come here.

We were at rock bottom, then won 8 in a row and got out-classed by a program that has competed for championships the past 5 years. But our OC sucks. Right.

yep no one giving UGA credit here. Just shouting at our team
Our team that was ahead at the halftime, got humiliated in the 2nd.
Didn’t expect a win , that D is very good, O ok.
But to not be competitive in the second is bs.

This is an overreaction. Chaney is a really good coordinator. JG and the o-line were awful. If you can’t block them, no play calls will be great.

Minus 1 yard rushing...Not going to beat the big boys not running the ball and keeping the defense honest. When we couldn't run it and UGA knew it and knew who our QB is and what he does under pressure the game was over.

4 5 stars and 1 4 star 6th year Senior and minus 1 yard....Somebodies butt should be put on notice.

I don’t think are talent is being maximized on the OLine. They should have performed significantly better. Perhaps Mr. Friend could step forward and enlighten the masses.

Yes Gaurantano is bad. He shows up for a minute, shows some talent and then sucks completely. His look on the side line was disgraceful and lacks any hope.

However, Chaney stunk in 2009, awful at Georgia, and continues awful play calls the past two years. Only reason Chaney was halfway decent was Tyler Bray could sling it, and Georgia running backs were beast. He can’t produce with average players. Boring to watch.
The OF line was dog s*#t the second half.

Hard to evaluate Chaney with the current QB out on the field. What I do know is Chaney lit things up with Bray, utilized TEs quite a lot at GA and made it to the playoffs and competed. What I see is a hesitant, inaccurate QB, who never seems to throw much in the middle of the field, TE are not much of a factor and isn't competitive in the big games against serious opponents, like GA. And I can't see the receivers routes. So what do I know? Chaney has history, JG has history. One calls it, one executes. One has done it at multiple stops, the other is on his 5th year at the same school/position. Hmmm.

Chaney is not the problem. JG is the problem. Oh, and the fact that we were playing against the best defense in the country.
