Not too familiar with Wranglers, but the Tire Rack (Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels) website is a great place for reviews on various tires. I have purchased through them a few times, but I usually buy from Discount Tire (Home - Discount Tire Direct) after I decide what I want. The Tire Rack price doesn't include shipping and the Discount Tire price has shipping included. I've purchased my last 8 sets of tires online and haven't had any problems.

Went through this a couple of months ago and I went with the Goodyear Wrangler Authority all terain which is made exclusively for Walmart. However, my truck is not an everyday driver and is used for work type purposes. Great looking tire, Great price there is a slight roar but not as bad as I initially thought it would be. My truck was bought new in 96 and had a set of Michelins on it which had 125,000 on them. Still had some tread but I picked up a nail and they were dry rottening so I made the switch. Guess it all depends on what you want to spend.

Check out either the Hankooks or Kumhos, both are rated pretty high by consumer reports.

I worked in the tire business for five years and I was never really impressed with the over all performance of Goodyear's truck tires. I always had customer's complain about vibrations. The tires never seemed to roll true and would tend to wear funny. Usually my customer's got an average of 30-40k out of their Goodyear truck tires. Now Goodyear passenger car tires are a different story. Hope this helps.

I just turned 50, so I have bought a lot of tires in my life. Tires and shoes are things you should not go cheap on. You will not go wrong with Michelins. They cost more for a reason.

B.F. Goodrich are made by Michelin. Michelin is the best IMO, they constantly improve their rubber compounds. B.F. Goodrich are made using the previous Michelin compounds. Their basically a Michelin but made with a past rubber compound for much cheaper.
