Butler is no 7 seed...

Hahaha, the #1 team in the country at the time. Congrats on winning that one, along with Chattanooga, NCA&T, and Prarie View A&M. Give me a break...hey I see we both played Ohio State...you guys won by 5, and we won by 20. See I can play this game, too.

That's not what I meant.

I meant you should be like Memphis (a non-BCS team in a 1 bid league) and schedule harder competition in the out of conference slate:

Memphis played:

TN
Georgetown
Arizona
Gonzaga

all out of conference

you may notice they are also all tournament teams.

Butler will never be like Memphis. I think they were top 20 in RPI and top 15 in the polls. They scheduled the NCAA tourney runner up and several other teams from major conferences and won their reg season and conf tournament. I think they are more like a 4/5 seed.

you didn't beat anyone in the field of 65 and you lost to teams that aren't in the field of 65. That's a problem.

Again, we can't control who's in and who's out after we've already played. TTU, OSU, SIU, and Bradley are normally tourney-bound teams. Florida State and Va Tech aren't world beaters but they're generally middle-of-the-pack teams. This year, they're not. Smaller schools like Butler just want transparency and/or consistency with seeding methodology. It's obvious there's no consistency (last year's resume vs. this year's resume), and the RPI can be used for or against you depending on the situation.

Apparently, the coaches' poll and the ESPN, FoxSports, Yahoo, and Rivals pundits must know nothing, because every single one of them had us NO LOWER than a 5 seed, and we're #10 in the coaches' poll this week.

You can try to rationalize it all you want, but the fact of the matter is, Butler is underseeded. I have a feeling you guys who think we're seeded appropriately would put us at a 5 even if we were undefeated.

You can rationalize the fact that you tried to play good teams who all sucked all you would like, but the fact remains that Butler doesn't know where it stands as a program because they haven't played any good teams to let them know.

I happen to think Butler has a decent team, but how was the committee supposed to give you credit?

Did you expect the Kansas treatment or something?
