Actually Purdue may be better for Butch since there isn't that pesky issue of having all these boosters, fans and media with all these high expectations of winning football games.

Those quotes epitomize the difference between where Bama is at and where Butch and the Vols are at. It's one thing to lose games...it's another to accept it and justify the losing. It is NOT okay to lose football games. Not at this level. Not at a top 10 all time program like Tennessee. You want "life champions"...then by all means go to Purdue.

Yeah it's alot of pressure. Yeah maybe it's not "right" in the grand scheme of life to place winning at such a high priority. But that's why you get 4 mill a year.....THAT is what big time college football is all about. Especially at a heritage program like UT. It is what it is and if it's too big for you? Or u don't like such an emphasis on such a shallow premise as winning? There's the door.

Before Butch was hired at Tennessee he was taking the Purdue job, he was calling recruits that he had committed to Cincy and telling them he was going to Purdue and to come with him. When he was finally hired at Tennessee he never once gave those same recruits a courtesy call or tell them what he was doing after they were committed to him for over a year. Some had to scramble because it was so late in there recruiting. Reason I know this is because a few of these kids came to my camps and I had discussions with them about the situation. One family called him many times left messages and he didn't even have the common courtesy to call them back.

The only way he gets the 10 million in buyout is if he gets fired and doesn't get a new job, right? So if he takes a new job, we're only paying the difference.

Jones isn't going to take another job anywhere while 10M in buyout is on the line. Some of you that think he is just going to leave because **** is hitting that fan and that he would walk away from that money are just dumb as a rock.

Well my source a student at UT who is great friends with Dobbs says Butch has lost the team and the students on campus hate him especially the females. So sounds like a change is needed
