been seeing inconsistent use of Butch terminology, and we need everyone on the same page:
butches- players, recruits, or coaches that grab on to the vision Butch Jones has for the football program
Butch mania - excitment generated by unique decisions implemented by head coach Butch Jones.
"Butch Please" - a sarcastic gesture when one chooses to disagree with something Butch Jones does. One example might be when a committment is accepted from a recuit that is deemed not good enough. Another example would be when a bad call is made during a game, or improper use of a timeout.
"I got 99 problems but Butch ain't one" - This indicates that life is currently very challenging, but at least our Vols are doing good.
Butch slapped- anytime Butch Jones wins at something, or when one of the butches does something good against an opponet. One example would be a big hit. Anohter could be beating out other programs for a commit.
Butch whack'd- see 'Butch slapped'
Butch mode - This is when the entire progam is in sync, and producing Championship results.
'Butch better recognize'- this term is used to reference a situation that perhaps coach Butch Jones is unaware of. Could be an under the radar recruit or a crucial stat that could alter a Saturday game plan.
butch fight- This term is used to descbribe a skirmish between two butches. A good example would be the situation involving Corey Vereen in Saturdays scrimmage.
stuck up butch- This could be used to describe a butch that gets full of themselves. Butch Jones teaches a blue collar, workman like attitude. Occasionally, a butch will get out of line, and think of themself as better than the team as a whole.
hairy butch- see Daniel Hood, AJ Johnson, and Jacob Carter.
'butch be crazy'- when a butch's actions indicate that they are too excited or can't control their emotions. Example would be an excessive celebration after a touchdown.
'butch better have my money'- used to describe the anxious meeting of two butches when money is owed. Example would be when a couple of butches make a bet, and the money is due upon the next time said butches meet.
'butches be trippin'- when fans have unrealistic expectations
b*tches- This word is a homonym. It could be a reference to Smokey's girlfriends. Or it could be a reference to describe opponets mascots as inferior to Smokey.
