Butchisms

Living north I've appreciated many years of Butchisms from his previous coaching positions.

All posted are a great laugh. My "fingernails on the chalkboard" is his "agin". It is his version of the valley girl's "you know" to make a bridge to his next thought.

I just can't watch much of his pressers after the first few minutes and would guess than many fans could almost write verbatim his comments.

That being said, WINNING makes up for a lot of small aggravations.

These are all on point ....which brings me to my point....ALL great communicators do this. They stay ON POINT...They know what they want to say and how they want to say it...why change the style and verbiage.... When folks get in trouble and get off point to the point of confusion and dishonesty is when they lose focus of the MAIN point.,,, Get the point? By comparison Coach Summits favorite catalyst word was "obviously".,,,, started most all statements with it... and she was a GREAT communicator....Great job CBJ!!!

Fulmer would say he needed to check the film when he actually checked the tape.

Butch says he's checking the tape, but he's actually watching digital images stored on a hard drive.

The next HC might have a nano device implanted in his head.

I wish Jones would say it's " not a spread" one more time in this voice:

It's kind of astounding to think that there is probably less than a full hour of recorded audio of Butch speaking that doesn't consist of canned coaching catchphrases.

Going back to the day he was introduced as the head coach, I can think of three: the video where he talks about his dad dying, his ice bucket challenge video, and Tyndall's ice bucket challenge video.

Everything else is 100% coach speak.
