This place isn't "wrecked," it's down. Big difference.

Kentucky basketball in 1952 was wrecked. USF basketball in 1982 was wrecked. SMU football in 1987 was wrecked. Penn State football was wrecked by Sandusky in 2012. There are others.

The Vols are in a down part of a cycle--just like after Neyland and before Majors. Recently, high cycle was mid to late Majors and early to mid Fulmer. Recent bottom time was Dooley (compare to Battle). Jones started a recovery and couldn't/didn't follow through. But, it IS trending up again.

Young people have no patience and think 10 years is a long time. Don't jump, you'll miss the good times. Tomorrow will be better.

Just watch what happens with this hire. Not this class, this hire.

lol U dont choose Boosters they choose you. We as fans have no way to change who boosters are unless we become boosters ourselves.

Its cute to say forget the Haslams we don't need them.... but until you replace the money they give you're shooting yourself in the foot. Has the administration been a hot mess? Yup... bad coaching choices? yup.. but at the same time take them out of the picture and all those nice facilities we have wouldn't be here.

Should they have a bit less voice? Maybe. But truth be told the only way to replace big money is find more big money. So, if you are able to couch up a few mil a year to donate to the school your voice matters in these choices. Till then not so much.

These people were not just randomly chosen to have such power.. they bought it.

Ergen could easily make up what we would lose if Haslam left. He could buy them and not bat an eye. The issue would be if was willing to.

Butch Jones had all his eggs in one basket in 2016, he had great talent, but still failed. 2017 was simply devoid of talent with very few NFL prospects, that's where we are currently, at the very bottom of the SEC:popcorn:

A whole lot of people and things put us in this position. I'm not laying all this on Butch but, he is responsible for some of it. There is a lot of behind the scenes we will probably never know like the amount of money and restrictions on Butch's hiring. I'm ready to move on and forward to work with what we got to get better.
