I am grateful for the job that butch has done, but he isn't the guy and he is cracking under pressure. The media is killing him and like I responded to another post. This situation reminded me of Josh Pastner situation in which he took a lesser amount on the buyout and just know the media is suggesting that! Flame away guys. But this dude is gone.

Think about. He is going through a lot of pressure. Urban Myer won a couple champions and he left Florida with all the success he built. This guy can't touch Myer's level and he is getting drugged (rightfully so) through the fan base and media. He has children and a family you better believe they aren't getting any peace from this as well. If UT gives him a 4mil just step down, have a plan for a really good coach. Do you think he wouldn't take it ?

There was a lot more things making the rounds at Florida than just championships.

Just ask 99, LG, and LW.

Its going to be a long off season. I'll prob have to take time away from the FF, from the looks of it it will be 2-3 pages of the same topic with about the same name.

I said in 2008 that TN was going to get what they deserved, and unfortunately I was correct.

I think TN fans are teetering on the edge of putting the program back another decade.

Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and I'll be wrong. (But it will be luck)

Yes it will. It'll be like farting in the shower. It's gonna stink a lot worse than I originally thought....

One thing those 2 have done that Butch hasn't is beat Alabama. And Ole Miss made it to a BCS/New Years 6 bowl. I will say I have no clue how Sumlin isn't winning more at A'M. He can offer the best facilities in the country, offensive players love playing in his offense,he is in a fertile recruiting area and can't be hard to recruit to..But he will never have an elite defense while running that offense for some reason,no idea why he has lost the players he has to transferring lately but something isn't right there. Ole Miss will never be a team that stays top 10 on a regular basis but there is no reason TN shouldn't and definitely no reason A'M shouldn't. Sumlin and A'M is a huge mystery as to why they continue to start great and finish so poorly every year. I would guess Sumlin takes similar type heat that Butch does but not sure about Freeze. Not to mention Ole Miss and Freeze have that investigation and possible severe sanctions on the horizon.But living in Ala I can say that Ala and AU took just as much or maybe even more heat on down years. Ala just hasn't had that problem recently but before Saban it got pretty heated in Tuscalooser.
