I haven't seen the tried and true Butch defenders around tonight. I'm curious your take on the game tonight, the season, and the future...

There are plenty of knee jerk threads and I'm sure I've ventured into a couple of the murky ones. This one is more for your opinions.

We've scrapped and battled each other all season and finally reached the end of the line. What's next?

Is Tennessee beating Boston College in the Belk bowl enough to get you back on the wagon?

Does this escalate anything in the administration?

Does recruiting suffer now?

It's either this or I go full on lunatic like so many others.

Indulge me...

I'm your huckleberry....

Never been a fan of yours Wylo. I think you are one of the most despicable posters on here. Always hammering on the things that are wrong and not enjoying the good parts. You are part of a pack on here that is deplorable and seem only want to cause dissention.

That being said, I am extremely disappointed in Jones and the end result. I was fine with the nerve racking wins and even the 3 game losing streak as I know we were decimated by injuries but once again to get our heart ripped out when a Sugar Bowl bid was there and all we had to do was beat Vandy?

We need a good old fashioned house cleaning. I know Butch is safe for 2017 but heads must roll and a major shakeup ,ust take place.

We score 31 in the first half and can only manage 3 in the second. This alone tell me Debored was outcoached by dc that has less talent in the second half. Whatever adjustments were made at halftime by our staff were pitiful at best. We had a lot on the line. A sugar bowl appearance may have helped with recruiting. A belk bowl appearance wont do jack.

Our team lost and things are ugly. What else do you need, Wylo?

Just like before the game........

Butch is not getting fired.
As I've said over and over the university will not spend the money.
Butch has made plenty of blunders and the question was/is can he learn and improve? The evidence the last few weeks seemed to indicate that he wasn't but that could have been clouded by injury and other distractions. Last nigh we were healthier than we've been in a while and played horrible. It got worse as the game progressed.

So here we are....back to the level of football that got CPF fired......but better than where we had fallen too.......I can't imagine anyone this morning thinking that's good enough.......I would think at this point very few would think CBJ is our guy........

Sadly

Change is not coming anytime soon

I think a lot of the Butch defenders are starting to finally open their eyes and see the light. A good coach has this team 10-2 or 11-1 and in Atlanta.

I'm not a CBJ warrior or supporter as much as I am a CBJ pragmatist. I'd love the guy dismissed as of end of game last night. But that is not going to happen. Hart is AD 'til June and a new AD won't be online until then. Under no circumstances do I want Hart making a new fball HC hire. Therefore my mind is where it was prior to the game. CBJ is here for team 121 and the new AD can decide what is best for the team and program going forward.

How many turnovers in 2nd half? Most occurred during a big gain.

But yes, the offense looked off in the 2nd half.

The problem is there are several coaches that need to go, more than Butch would ever remove in one off-season.

We did not throw one deep attempt in the second half, Vandy knew our OC had fallen into his familiar pattern, dinks and dunks, and tosses behind the LOS. One or two tosses deep like Vandy kept completing at will would have helped our O run the ball better in the second half.

Debord was outcoached? Lol! How stupid can you be? Anybody and everybody's fault except for Butch, right?

It took a team effort to produce the collapse we saw 120 put on the field last night. Overall player effort was poor, still waiting for Jumper to fill one hole last night, stayed back 4 yards off the LOS so he could be blocked for only one example. Vandy receivers running wide open all night, 2nd half offense just quit, how do you know every play they are ripping at the ball and you still let them rip the ball out for a turnover?? Your 4th and 4 play with the game on the line for a first down, the ball is thrown yards behind the first down marker. Total team collapse, HC has to own it like a bad tattoo.

There is no excuses for last night ,they blew it. As for the season, its a season of lost chances losing these games. Now for the future, the administration is not gonna fire him so that's out of the question. I am not a Butch supporter as per see but a team supporter and team includes players, coaches, ballboys, equipment managers, etc.
I have a question or two? When did they do bowl announcements,I missed that? Didn't know they choose us to play B.C. in the Belk Bowl. Also, this thread sounds a lot like the "where are the negas" threads. If those were so wrong to make according to some on here, would this one be wrong too?

I'll wade on in.

We underachieved. I said that after USCjr. Losing to Vandy puts an exclamation point on it. Won't defend it. And yeah I'm probably just as disappointed as you are. BUT I'm not going to act like a 3 year old and go bat $&@" crazy on here.

Butch is here next year. And you know it. You don't like it but you know it. He has earned a chance to try and fix this. And he's going to get that chance, like it or not.

But if there aren't significant changes then he's in trouble. I thought he would be safe for a couple of years. But I didn't think we'd lose to USCjr and Candy.

We will have a better idea of what this end game will be by spring ball. But he's going to be the coach of the team in spring.

They'll be back, spouting excuses and pretending they're more reasonable than everyone else. Give it 2 days.

Those nerve racking wins were a sign that something is wrong and eventually that is going to catch up with you and you will lose ones where we play like that. SC and Vandy are both examples of those.
