Butch to Bret Bielema and Mark Dantonio (and Harbaugh's reply)

Harbaugh's out hustling Jones and the rest of SEC by taking his team to Florida and building relationships there.

He pointed out that Tennessee doesn't have its house in order, and he's right. Butch will be answering questions about this for at least another year, and Harbaugh will be beating the law suit drum against him in every recruit's living room.

Go search "Michigan rape scandal" and you'll see they've got the FBI looking at them for a rape coverup.

It was definitely harsher.
Better? In the sense of using a "cripple" joke on someone I suppose.
Just meaning it was a really easy cheap shot that you would expect from an internet warrior or 9 year old, but not really a coach. (Well, maybe that assistant from OSU that never shuts up)

Could have called him an immature dick.

I like Butch and hope he's here for a long time but he had no business getting in the middle of this. As for Harbaugh I'm not surprised that's his personality. If this situation were to be reversed everyone on this board would be saying hell yea get um coach. But now people are butt hurt calling mean Jim Harbaugh names, Jones left himself wide open for that one. Harbaugh is the new Spurrier, get used to it.

Hogwash.
Michigan is all hat no cattle.
1 NC since 1948, and it was shared.
They're picked 3rd in their division this year.

Opposing coaches not allowed to attend Michigan Wolverines practice at IMG Academy, NCAA clarifies

Interesting

"On Wednesday, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio hinted they would show up at Michigan's session Friday.

However, the NCAA said they aren't allowed to attend.

"There won't be any coaches here," said Chris Howard, NCAA director of enforcement for football development."

On one hand it's hard not to get a chuckle from no coaches there - Hairball should get a rise from that one - a nasty tweet to the NCAA? But on the other hand are we to supposed to believe that the players are conducting the practice without adult supervision? The NCAA seems to be having either a communication problem or is losing its grip on reality.

But can us fans attend wearing our Tennessee shirts while blaring Rocky Top from our speakers and yelling Go Vols after every play?

Another little problem is this:

"The NCAA allows practice at a high school facility as long as the school pays rent to use it. Elizabeth Heinrich, Michigan senior associate athletic director for compliance, said the school worked through the NCAA to provide the expenses for practice."

Suppose a school has a player you want, and you make a very generous donation to "practice" there; wouldn't that be getting pretty close to paying to influence a recruit or the coach? And in the best Clintonesque - define "practice" - a couple of OBs throwing the ball back and forth - or maybe a little catch with a prized recruit? Of course, there's just no reason to think that IMG might have more potential recruits than the Nowheresville School for the Performing Arts.

You don't know that UT.does not have its house in order. Neither does Harbaugh. Allegations in a lawsuit don't make it a fact. And Butch will be pointing out Harbaugh's creepy pajama parties with teenage boys.

If MI takes the boys to play at IMG and doesn't do the same for a couple of girl's sports, wouldn't that be a Title XI violation?

You don't think Butch offering 20 IMG players schollies on the "eve" of UM's arrival didn't play a part in Harbaugh's response?

OK and? What does that have to do with Harbaugh's response? What does that have to do with the fact Jones should have stayed out of it?

Why? What has Jones done wrongly since he's been here? What was wrong with his playful jab? What exactly did he do to elicit a jackass response?

Why didn't Harbaugh take that tact? Up til now it looked like he was getting under EVERYBODY ELSE's craw. Why'd he lose his cool?

One really has to wonder how many of the Michigan faithful honestly wish their new coach would simply focus on football while at the same time, keeping his mouth shut.

THIS is why SF showed his ass the door and had zero regrets doing so.

York and Baalke ran him out because they're about as incompetent as it gets. I'd imagine they have a lot of regrets right now.
