Butch is getting ready to whip some butts into shape!! It's too bad Dooley never "got it" the way Butch does:

"A mentality. A blue collar mentality. You'll see some different things in the way we play. We'll sprint at the end of the quarter change. I hate when people walk on the field. That's going to be our identity because we are going to be in better condition."

I like the idea of earning your spot on the team with the jerseys. It'd be humiliating to wear a blue jersey around on campus when all your buddies have the orange power T jersey on. This should make for some awesome competition in practice.

I do as well. If I were a schollie player in blue or white and seen a walk on in orange, don't know about anyone else, that would motivate me.

I sure hope you are right and Butch is doing the right things it seems, but after the last 5 years, I'm stuck in "cautiously optimistic" mode....

Me too. Not only that, when Dooley got here everyone was saying how they were so glad that he got it. deja vu on fan posts. Hopefully not deja vu on the field.

One thing that Kiffin did that was positive was get the team in a huddle & jump up & down between the 3rd & 4th qtr. I think Dooley even did it a time or 2. That got the juices flowing with the team AND the fans. It sure beats that stoopid putting 4 fingers in the air!!

I think CBJ understands what he has at UT....Very grateful for the opportunity to be the HC....and will do everything in his power to turn it around....He knows he is at the premium level of College Football.....He will take full advantage of it and IMO will do well with it.......He will always these teams prepared to compete...He is a shaker and a mover........

Big difference between bUTch and Drools? Past success. bUTch has it, Drools not so much. I had high hopes for Dooley but there was really no reason to know he would succeed. I think bUTch brings past success and championship teams to the table which validates the excitement.

Agreed. Dooley was a horrible hire. I hope your right. I like Butch and am starting to think he knows what he's doing. But I'm cautious till I see the product.

I like what I'm hearing from the CBJ regime so far. It appears that he actually understands how to coach a football team.
