Yeah, sadly it is. Do you know how long it took some of you to come around on Dooley? Jones has lost TWICE to Vandy, doesn't have a SEC East title on his resume after 4 years and barring a miracle we can make that 5 years....and you and your buddies want to white knight for him?

Like i said a fan of 48 years and if you take the HALL OF FAME COACH that got ran off plus VOL FANS still to this day make fun of we are a 8 win program in most years, i guess we got what we deserve you just dont do a HALL OF FAME COACH like we did the FULMER curse lives on and will for several more years get ready for a bunch of 7 and 8 win seasons the truth speaks for it self.

a) Butch is reportedly very unhappy with the lack of AD situation. He has been telling people it has been hurting recruiting and OC hire. The internal promotion is not by choice for Butch, rather outsider big candidates' unwillingness to join the staff without some assurance from AD on stability. Butch has been telling local media members during informal communications to look at staff other SEC teams have assembled. His situation is like he is almost taking a knife to a gun fight against Alabama, comparing the supporting staff.

b) Shoop never fully got support from Martinez, Thigpen or Stripling. The three reportedly felt like Shoop undermined their authority with micromanaging things. Things got worse as the season progressed. Stripling will retire, Martinez will be let go. Thigpen might look elsewhere but Shoop and Butch have tried to convince him to stay due to his recruiting powers.

c) After season Butch did look for other options as he was uncertain about his status once new AD was hired. UT higher-ups assured him that he won't be let go upon hire of new AD.

d) Don Mahoney will be let go after signing day. Azzanni is looking elsewhere and will leave after signing day. Larry Scott will be new OC. Butch has tried to do a CO-OC thing with both but Azzanni wants full control of the offense. Funny as Butch wanted to bring a name but he couldn't land one.

e) The media reports of Butch not willing to relinquish control of offense are wrong.

This actually sounds rt from a lot of what I am hearing from other media outlets. May not be 100 percent accurate but I believe more than not it is and it's not only killing coaching search it's killing recruiting. Absolutely obsurd 6 months later and no ad

Are we really ready to get rid of the whole staff? Are we at that point? I'm assuming your good with the financial hardship (coaches buyouts), attrition that always comes with coaching changes, lost recruits and the possible 4,5,6 win seasons till the new coach gets the roster reestablihed.THINK!!

Butch may have not been in this debacle had shoop brought his own guys. I'm sure people don't like being micromanaged however it's a sign up r not getting u job done and step up.some egos can't handle that

I agree 100%. I posted this another thread about Fulmer said it went on decline after battle and that administration left and history serves him correct we were no longer willing to do what it took to win at high level from ad on up.....just my 2 cents. U watch Bama go after Dabo or someone better when Saban retires and they will do whatever it takes to win. That's the difference in our programs

Apparently you didnt read what i wrote..go back and read it again, and try to understand what i said.. everything i said about the coaches leaving was referring to what the OP wrote.. go back and read that also...

Who essentially gave CBJ $1m to hire Stoop, and who is repsible for being sure a key rb doesn't leave the school mid-season, and that the assistants will accept the management style of the one hired at $1m? Who essentially gave the Program some of the best college weight room facilities, and who's responsibility is it in year 4 to have a qb coach and/or s&c coach? Who was responsible for keeping the players healthy? Who was hired because he'd won 4 championships his first 6 yrs as HC? Who is the keeper of the chart, and has the back pocket?

Oh -- who is it that bragged that a $225k sports car is important for the HC, as a sports car is what recruits these days want to see?

Any way, maybe I misunderstood it all -- I def hope Butch can pull this together for 2017.
