Safety/kick returner Evan Berry also had to get stitches after taking a cleat to the face at South Carolina. He’ll be fine to play against Tennessee Tech, and Jones, when asked about his one play on offense on Saturday, said that Berry’s role with the offense will continue to evolve throughout the season.

With three losses this season and 4 years left on your contract, loosen up, Butch. Have a little fun trying to win out.

I hope it's not like the time he told Hurd all of those lies lol. I'm kidding, can't wait to see him with the rock in his hands.

Seriously. Why did it take so long? People on here have been saying that since the App St game. C'mon Butch.I know I'm not a coach, but why limit one of your most -if not the most--electric players on your team with the ball in his hands to only kick returns. He doesn't just need more reps on O. We know by now that getting more snaps with this offense doesn't mean jack. Debord needs to find ways to get him the ball in the open field. I don't know if its jet sweeps, end arounds, screens, hand offs, or slant routes. A player with his ability to break a play open needs his touches.

If he's not going to rep at Safety, might as well stick him in the slot or at RB. The offense could hardly do worse than to occasionally flip it to him and let him turn it into a kick return.

I can't rip him for that. There are plenty of great return men that never play offense. It's a special skill set.

He certainly knows how to hit a space quickly to get yardage.

Evolution....Butch certainly has a way of saying very little with every word he speaks. Regardless, I'm glad Berry is a go. High time we focus of the players we have and who we are getting back from injury vs the ones that choose to leave. I'm really anxious to know when Kamara is due back. IMO, getting him back will jump start this offense.

I wish everybody could get the downfield angle on one of his returns that I had Saturday night. It's amazing to watch. He doesn't really have blinding speed, but he's extremely decisive, doesn't dance around and it's incredible how he maintains speed as he cuts. He hits full speed, makes one cut and the coverage team is holding on for dear life.

Because he lacks in good decision making a lot like Les Miles and that bothers me.

(1) Great, now our opponents know what our plan is. He will more than likely be on the field as a decoy and seldom f ever get the ball.

(2) Didn't bUTch promise Hurd more carries also? It wasn't the truth.

'bout time, the young man is a playmaker. If Kamara leaves could this be the start of Berry for Heisman campaign 2017? Plays offense, defense, returns kicks know anyone who did that and won the award?
