I like Butch and have seen improvement and love the attitude they have and the fight but and this is a big but .. Kentucky's win over south Carolina looked better then anything Butch has done while at UT. There is no excuse that can be made if Kentucky gets better before we do.

What? Do you not remember that Butch beat a USC team that ended up ranked number 4 last season in his first year? This year's USC team is not nearly as good?

Yes, the players made mistakes, but the coaches made some horrible calls too and this game was as much on the coaching as it was on the players. Chewing out the team and being a sorry coach is a big part of how Dooley lost his leadership ability. Hopefully Jones doesn't start heading down the same path. I still think he can win here, but the coaches need to do a better job evaluating themselves.

I remember . And I don't want Butch fired I want him to succeed but it took a miracle play for us to beat south Carolina and Kentucky man handled them.. I have been happy with the improvement I have seen from the vols this year I am hoping that the Florida game was just a bad game for them every team does it. And that south Carolina team beat Georgia that is a lot better this year then last

Good luck finding ANY south Carolina fan that will agree with you that this year's USC team without Shaw or Clowney is better than last years team.

Why are you acting as if its the same team? The USC team we beat had Clowney and Shaw. If we hadn't win that game, they would have been playing in Atlanta for a shot at NC. They beat UK last year and we haven't played them yet. Stop judging our coaches based on a game we haven't even played yet.

Ah yes, the old let's-focus-on-one-game argument. Let's forget the struggles against ECU and Vandy, and the losses to KY and Mizzou, and the home-field dog stomping by aTm. Let's focus on the missed-field-goal-to-tie-it-up win against GA. 2014 SC isn't in the same atmosphere as 2013 SC.
