Coach speak at it's finest.

On the team as a whole...

This is a very, very talented football team. I think their team has gone through a lot of the growing pains, so to speak, that we have gone through: losing some close games at home and being in position to win some games.

Can kinda agree with that though. UT and UK both undergoing changes the last 3 years. UT obviously has a lot more foundation in its program to build (and a ton more talent to use from recruiting).

They are very, very good defensively. Really, really good on the back end, very stout up front. Love their linebackers; very active and can run sideline to sideline.

Mega coach speak. We suck defensively. Yes, we're missing two key players on the DLine, but even with them we weren't solid. Our front 7 is a huge liability. In the back we are still figuring out lineups halfway through the season.

We all know about their offense and how explosive they are..Patrick Towles...great skill around him. Running backs are playing well; big O-line, so it’s going to be a challenge for us, and being in an SEC environment makes it that much more.

WR might be the most talented in many many years for UK. RB is good, not great, but we have 3 decent backs that are able to do different things. OLine is the same story that UT has had the last few years. Commonwealth should be rocking, but I wouldn't call it a SEC environment considering the success we have had against visiting conference foes.

TL:DR; Butch is a nice guy and had some nice things to say about UK.

"We charted the Kentucky game as one of our most difficult games having to go on the road at night on Halloween."

Enough with the freaking chart already!!!

Although still coach speak this is closer to the truth.

“We respect the job coach Stoops has done with a Wildcat team that quite frankly hasn’t been a juggernaut in recent memory. They are a much improved football team than what we faced when we first got here. They have some excellent athletes in their program and we expect them to be ready to play hard for sixty minutes.

That said, our real challenge as Tennessee is to play to the level we are capable. If we do that and don’t turn the ball over the final score will take care of itself.”

How about the 'process', did he mention the process at any point?

I always perk up when he mentions that...

If you've ever played the game--you realize that IT IS a PROCESS......

Everything in life is a process...
and it's no different in football.....give it a break......:

Everyone of Butch's press conference is the same just change the name of the team:

His WEEKLY QUOTES:

We are building a Program.

This team or player were facing is probably one of the best in the Country.

He is a prideful young man.

Hie is working everyday to get better one day at a time.

He is very resilient.

This team is very explosive and has a couple of players that will play on Sunday.

Ok, everyone please feel free to add more so somebody can make up the "Butch Game"

Oh yeah..wait, I forgot one..............

These are 17 & 18 yr old kids............yeah, they were 17 when u started recruiting them but most kids graduate @ 18 and by the time they hit the college football field they are 19........c'mon man

A bit off topic, but what Uni's are we wearing this weekend? I am a fan of sporting the orange on orange, which happens to be my favorite.

I never doubt our effort. The skill behind the effort though, that's the problem. Only way UK ever gets good is by finding 3* and low 4* star gems. So far we haven't developed much talent. They all play like average 3*s.

This ^^^

The teams at the top are pretty much laden with 4 and 5 Star talent. Not saying that you can't do more with less Al La Al Wilson, but it is a lot less likely in football and absolutely less likely in the SEC. UK is definitely much better than they have been in recent years, but they are still several stars from HS recruits away from competing week in and week out in the SEC. A couple of injuries have really hurt that defense that held UF in check just a couple off weeks ago.

I think that Commonwealth will be rocking, Halloween, Night game, etc... but our OL and our DL will be the ultimate difference in this game. UT 38-UK 13. GBO!!!

100% of the individuals in this great University of Tennessee football program have never played in an SEC night game on the road on Halloween.

 I enjoyed having the initial analysis of the weekly presser coming from an opponent's fan. Something different!

When is Butch going to man up and tell it like it is? "Kentucky is not a very good team and we have more talent at every position. I expect to go up there and handle them." Man the F up and stop being a sheep.

The coach you compliment on your way up may well be the same coach you gives you a job on your way down.

they all scratch a back the same way.

I like Butch, but daaaaaaaamn, he likes that word too much.

My least favorite is "complementary football"...I understand what he's saying but good Lord!!!

Makes you miss...work like heck & we'll have to watch the film...

I love Butch but the coach speak gets a bit weary
