Blackburn isn't getting the AD job. Come to terms with that. He was there. They KNOW him. He made some mistakes. They don't want him back.

No but you can't forget where Dooley took us. Butch got us out the hole. You people amaze me how far down we were. Butch went two seasons with no one drafted. Dooley recruited so poorly that Kentucky had more draft picks. Dooley was not the standard but you can't act like it didn't happen and hold Butch accountable for those first two years. Also, one could argue that's Dooley was the standard the the last 10 years before butch. Look at the records. Not like we tore it up in that stretch.

I don't know if Blackburn is getting the job or not but this board's whole attitude of "If we don't hire Blackburn we're doomed" is just stupid! There are approximately 325 million people in this country and I'm sure at least one of them can do just as good of a job, if not better than Blackburn. I'm tired of people acting like he's the ONLY choice.

That's a very good point. Dirk Koetter kept him on his staff after he was named HC and Winston has thrown for 4000 each of his 1st two seasons. He may have his groove in the NFL with the Bucs.

I love the fact 2 former guys who worked with each other cannot talk anymore or it will be deemed as once again Butch is an idiot, clueless, and many other V-Nation butch terms. So let's all take a breath and think about this for just 5 seconds. We actually don't know they met, what they met about, but we have countless post now flaming Butch on this news. Secondly, are they no longer allowed to talk, meet, etc?

Seems like butch wants a proven yes man. CPF doomed his career hiring an extremist. If your agenda does not work from the onset it is going to end with extreme changes. I don't think CBJ will turn the reigns over to an OC that will scrap his book.

Butch could be in Tampa picking the brain of Dirk, coach Jake, Monken, and Gruden...getting ideas from people in the NFL they have come across who may be up and coming...geez yall

True. CBJ and MB had a very solid working relationship for years. For all we know, Butch is getting Mike's input on candidates.

I think folks are afraid that of the 325 million, we'll end up with 2 like we just had run for president. :thud:
