Butch loves to control everything....

Well Spicoli.... I'd say there are numerous people responsible for this, but I'll play along and say that Butch is the coach and ultimately responsible....that what you were looking for?

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. So, whenever an apologist points to the OC and OL coach, recruiting or discipline, they are deflecting and defending Lyle. It's his system, his recruits and he hired his buddies to coach it.

But, stay skeered of change. That always seems to work.

The way I see it, I don't have to wait until a loss before I complain about ineptitude. But then, I've never been one to accept without rational thought or believe without question.

But that's just me.

Evidently you don't have the courage to change what you cannot accept since you obviously have the wisdom to know the difference.

Ummmm, because that's how streaks work! You start with the first win and end it with the last win before a loss.

And we've what to show from that 'streak'? Not even a 'divisional' championship.

What we do have is an OT home win over a team with 0 blue chippers to our 38, a good win over another that we've a 4X blue chip advantage over despite their dominating yardage and giving 5 turnovers to our 1, and a close win over a team we have a 38X blue chip advantage over.

FL has 2.7X to 25X the b.c. talent of those teams. Unlike TN, they've been putting away their opponents. Our next three opponents' talent level goes up from there.

The 'streak' is less than meaningless.

Freeze competes in a much tougher division and OM was 2-10 the year before his arrival. He took them from 2-10 to 7-6 with a bowl win. Butch took 5-7 to 5-7. Third year he was 9-3 in the regular season with wins over top 5 Miss St and Bama, plus a neutral site win over Boise State. Butch went 8-4 and beat a top 20 UGA team in year 3. Surely you can see that Freeze accomplished more in first 3 years than Butch did; year 4 could change things.
And he's about to get them on probation.

And your point is ……?

I thought it clear; the bar is the next 4-5 games, not a streak of meaningless wins against meaningless opponents extending into a meaningless last half of the 2015 season.

Even the most optimistic should be a tad concerned.

He can't control Mark Richt. He stomped a mud hole in App. States A$&!

Letting Richt go was a huge Bonehead decision

I think Butch has tried to get this team to calm down so they aren't emotionally and physically spent by the 4th quarter. That was our Achilles heel last season, come out dominating and run up the score but fizzle out and wind up losing because we were already on the bus before the game was over. We gave it all and left after only 3 quarters. You don't see that this year. There is actually some fight in us to overcome the adversities late in the game that wasn't there last year. And obviously, luck hasn't really been on our side much this year thus far, with injuries on defense, putting the ball on the ground, not making the plays when we couldn't afford not to. Some of that luck has gone from us this year

Facts. And like I said, if you can't see the concerns with this, I don't know what to say to you. I don't care if they won the game, there is absolutely no way that is acceptable.

Chief.

These are the people that will golf clap their way to an 0-4 stretch and if they are competitive it will all be good.

No one is denying any of this. I quoted and responded to a post asking why we were going back 9 months to calculate a streak.

A streak that doesn't extend all the way back past the last season is just a number. Go undefeated for a whole season and it means something.

And he also may have thrown too many satchels on front porches

I still think you have to look at all of the factors before anointing Freeze as better. Look at the OM schedule for his first season. Both CHF and CBS drew easy OOC schedules except that UT faced Oregon. Then, look at their cross-division draws. OM had UGA and Vandy; UT had Auburn and Alabama. Not exactly even slates.

I'll drink the Butch Jones kool-aid one more time , maybe three more times....what the heck I've been drinking it for a couple years. I'll bet vols.

They have talent. Lets see if the offensive line figures it out, Deborg can stretch the field both ways with a plan,......and Dobbs can be a bit more accurate.

I really don't get all the negativity towards Coach Jones. We are 3-0 and loaded with talent!

Easy. The negativity comes from those who can't be happy with the good things. The negative ones don't know how to tell Florida fans "screw your win streak" & "to suck it". So their basically nothing more than a bunch of repressed sadsacks who espouse negativity in every thread. Sad life to be sure, but, somehow Florida "owns" their soul, so it's ok to them. Such a miserable life leads to negativity spread on Tennessee message boards. Instead of pulling for the Vols & saying we'll win (thus risking ridicule if we lose), they'd rather say we'll lose and hope that they are right. Really boils down to a pathetic, yet earnest attempt to play it safe.

Some Vol fans are like the guy who out kicks his coverage with a woman yet swears she's cheating on him all the time until she finally does. Then he forgives her.....
