Has anyone else picked up on this vibe during his press conference ? In last 2-3 weeks his intensity has been down. Looks a lot uninterested and lot less angry at press. Even when his team was winning early on, he had that intensity.
Is it that with losses, he has come to terms with a 9-3 season ? Or does anyone else have a feeling that Butch will be looking elsehwere after this season ?
If he goes 9-3 & gets to SEC CG , a lot of teams would be happy to get pick him up. There are a lot of 10-win happy good programs out there. Miami picked Mark Richt to get back to 10 wins.
I can see few programs shuffling coaches and Butch ending up at a ACC or Big 12 type programs.

I guess the veins popping out of his head and blood pressure skyrocketing on the sidelines don't count?

Yeah I happened to have seats 8 rows up behind the Tennessee bench on Saturday and after Kentucky went 85 yards on two plays on their opening possession I would not have characterized Butch's demeanor as "disengaged" :)

Who wouldn't get tired of talking to the press and answering questions that everyone already knows the answers to.

Yeah because Saban is always interested and engaged when talking to the media..... He must be looking to go elsewhere too!

Butch would prefer to get fired so he can cash in. Unfortunately, we are stock with the clichés and coach speak. Trust the maturation process ~ Butchism 101

The guy is purple for the 3-4 hours we see him each week. Lord know what he looks like the other 60-70 he spends working. He was chewing ass on the refs going into halftime at the TTU game and I have no idea what that was about. I don't think disinterested is the right word.

yep, I sensed it but he want be eligible for firing for 3 more years and with a good end to this season add 2 more years. Tennessee got to land a super qb to get to expectations.

He doesn't like refs. He enjoys yelling at then.

We did with JG. What I've heard is he is a smarter, faster, more elusive, more accurate and better running JD.

Good grief. He must be getting tired of all of the inane and senseless blathering on VN.

He has looked pretty interested on the sidelines the last few weeks. Especially when he was dropping F bombs

Butch has more stress on him than we can imagine. We at Volnation just get to complain to each other and post knee-jerk reactions to the last game. Butch has to hear it from every side including the Big Money donors constantly pressuring him about wins (beating the Gators, Dawgs, and Bama). I think Butch is worn down and ready for the off-season. Oh wait this is not the NFL there is no off-season in college football. There is only The two seasons, football and recruiting season.

All that comes with the job.
