...Trey Smith, Holloman, Hansard, Akers, Pappoe, Otey, and tons of others.

I thought coaches weren't allowed to directly mention recruits by name. So when we get a commit from Atlanta, he may say "Big brick from the 404! 🍊🍊🍊"

Does retweeting not constitute a direct mention? Have we entered a contact period? Can VN possibly make it another month?

Hopefully today was just a one-time mass retweeting spree because the rule was just put into effect, but If it becomes a regular occurrence I may have to unfollow some of the coaching staff because that wrecked my TL.

Yep. New rule. Can't immediately quote the tweet but you can retweet then one minute later reference it "indirectly" in a separate tweet

Each school's compliance director should get an immediate raise. :)

Yep. They'll all look like this before long.

You can deactivate seeing rts from a specific person.

As others have mentioned, #NCAA Proposal 2015-48 went into effect at midnight; permits coaches to endorse (like, favorite) and republish (retweet, repost) prospects.

Shortly after midnight, coaches Scott, Martinez and Azzanni were busy re-tweeting many of the top prospects high on our list.

Of course it would make more sense if the NCAA could follow and enforce the rules they already have.

Who am I kidding, must be having an acid flashback or something.

This is why this new rule is in place

Countless coaches were "accidentally" favoring/retweeting recruits tweets and the NCAA got tired of dealing with complaints

NCAA rules are more like guide lines these days. Like the IRS, they will come after you, if they feel like it.:)

They seem to get tired of dealing with a lot of complaints.

Exactly.

Unless you do something crazy like suggest teams actually play each other to see who wins the championship, then they have the energy to fight for years.

But seriously, I've never seen an organization so inept, they can barely muster the tiniest bit of respect from anyone.

Except for government of course.

They are a joke for sure.
