Butch Jones

Not even close to being true, and Jones developed/recruited Dobbs. Pruitt can’t field a serviceable much less good qb but that is probably not his fault either. UGA played for NC in 2017 in Jones’ final season. In Jones’ last three seasons, 2015-2017, UF was 16-8 in the SEC; essentially the same winning percentage as the 2018-2020 Gators at 19-7 in the SEC. Georgia went 16-8 in the SEC between 2015-17 and 21-4 between 2018-20 in the SEC. While UGA’s record did improve in the SEC, it won the SEC championship once during both spans. UGA did play for a championship in 2019 but lost to LSU. UGA also played and lost in Atlanta the month Jones was hired in 2012. UF has played in Atlanta once during Pruitt’s tenure and did so twice during Jones’ tenure. Missouri played in Atlanta twice during Jones’ tenure, zero under Pruitt. Alabama won the NC twice under Jones and played for an additional one. Alabama has yet to win one under Pruitt but may this season. UT played Auburn (eventual SEC champion) and then #2 Oregon 2013, #4 Oklahoma and then #3 Ole Miss in 2014, Arkansas (8-5) and Oklahoma (made playoff) in 2015, then top 10 Texas A and M and Virginia Tech on a neutral field in 2016, finally GT on a neutral field and LSU in 2017. The toughest OOC opponent Pruitt has played in three years is an 8-4 WV or 7-5 Ga State. His toughest SEC West opponent outside of Alabama was a 3-5 in the SEC Auburn in 2018 or 3-5 in the SEC MSU in 2019. This notion that Pruitt has drawn a much tougher SEC and overall schedule is laughable. In CBJ’s best season in 2015, his average margin was 39-21 or 18 points. In Pruitt’s best season in 2019, his average margin was 24-22 or 2 points. The defensive guru even allowed more points on average not counting the bowl wins for both.
Where do you think we would have been if we had not Changed Coaches and Kept CBJ?

Wait a minute, Alabama under JONES, he was a analyst...talk about massaging facts

Let’s not forget that Jones failed to win the SEC East when it was basically gift wrapped for him. He had Dobbs, Kamarra, Sutton, and a ton of other talent and still bumbled that away. The guy was a joke on the field, at press conferences, and pretty much everywhere else. He was exposed as a fraud whose past success was really just him following behind Brian Kelly and exploiting what Kelly had already built in leagues far inferior to the level of competition in the SEC.

Jones was absolutely incompetent.

We can’t let the current state of affairs in Knoxville make us see competence that wasn’t there.

No. Tee was the starting QB for just one season. He only had one year of eligibility left when the 98 season began.
I was wrong! First time this year though. I looked it up and yes Tee did start for two years. 98 (undefeated and NC) and 99 in a not as successful of a season but still a season we would love to have had this year.

You couldnt be more off the mark if you were trying...maybe you forgot the blue font..

Well sunshine, I’ve seen goofy posts on here before, but your post ranks in the top 10. Congrats!

You guys keep trotting out the same party line even when it has been repeatedly proven to be wrong.

Look in the mirror, sport

Dobbs was a 3 star qb that was developed..

He was a 4* star quarterback with 247 sports. And to further help your need for assistance, I’ll provide this for you...

First, Dobbs is playing football in the NFL. Dobbs set UT records for career rushing yards by a quarterback (2,160), career rushing touchdowns by a QB (32), single-season rushing yards by a QB (831 in 2016) and single-season rushing touchdowns by a QB (12 in 2016).

CAREER HONORS
  • 2016 Senior Bowl Invitee (12/12/16)
  • 2016 Athlon SEC Offensive Player of the Year (12/12/16)
  • 2016 AP Second Team All-SEC (12/8/16)
  • 2016 Coaches Second Team All-SEC (12/6/16)
  • Manning Award Quarterback of the Week (11/23/16)
  • Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week (11/20/16)

Kamara was behind a rb that would have easily broken the rushing record at UT. To pretend Kamara was playing behind an inferior athlete is beyomd the pale ridiculous. CBJ didn't go 0-8 in the SEC

If some of you would simply admit CBJ, while not being a great coach, didnt deserve the juvenile vitriol spewed from Twitter amd the message boards, you wouldnt need to keep stretching the truth to make you feel like you were right all along.

Jones had a meltdown and brought his demise on himself

CJP was a mistake hire from the get go. And IMO any coordinator woild have beem if we were serious about winning. I dont hate CJP and think he is a good coach with regard to postion and maybe even as a DC. However i am fairly certain he could be a poster child for the Peter Principal.

I personally do not understand some folka need to attack coaches on a personal level when they don't suceed, regardless of who the coach is. Unless youre in the 6th grade and then i can understand why usimg Beldar to describe JP seems funny. If youre older than that....youre embarrassing yourself

A lot of mis-spelling here.....HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING..? 😉

Not drinking or retarded..thanks for asking

Yes there were typos..fat fingers and little keyboards will do that. Im certain your dainty fingertips never miss a keystroke.

All those accolades for Dobbs you list...signs of a kid that was well coached.. Poorly ciached players rarely excel.

So continue bashing CBJ...but pretending Pruitt is better just makes you look silly.

LOL. My post never mentioned Pruitt....but keep those fat fingers pumping away to create your own fantasy..

Well, you’re not too bright.

Tee off as the staring QB in 99 and they lost to Nebraska in the bowl.
Tennessmee lost to Nebraska in the Orange bowl on January 1st 1998 following the 1997 season when Tee came in and relieved Maning when they were blowing us up. Tee was the starting QB in the 1998 season when we played Free Shoes University and beat them for the National Championship on January 1st 1999. I have a game jersey on my wall from the 1998 Orange bowl and my son has a jersey from the 1999 Fiesta bowl hanging on his wall.
Some posters have no idea what the fact are.
