I would take Butch over Pruitt in a new york second, and that's saying something, I wasn't the biggest fan of ole Lyle.

I’m not playing games here......but I think you are.

I never once “downplayed” what YOU consider the worst season ever........not fact.....simply your opinion. One that most of us would agree to as probably in our lifetime.....yet still an opinion.

I’m simply showing what we’re going through now isn’t really “better.”

Butch bad
Pruitt also bad

2017 bad
2018 bad
2020 also bad

Keep on trying, but no matter how you slice it, Pruitt has never Ever (as a head coach) won every non conference game in a season.

Also NO coach in Tennessee history except for Pruitt lost at home to Kentucky by 27 points or more.......no one.

Butch lost every single conference game......he certainly sucks. Even in his 9 win seasons he sucked and should have won more.

There really isn’t an argument to be had.

2017 we went 4-8 with no SEC wins.

This year we will have 3 minimum. To call 0-8 not as bad as 3-7 because "we went 4-0" in very weak non conference schedule is not smart and delusion.

I get it, people like yourself literally hate Jeremy Pruitt because he has wronged you even though UT football has no direct impact on your day to day life just as you have no direct impact on UT Football.... Weird flex....

But hey different strokes for different folks. Crazy that people don't have bigger fish to fry and spend time hating and so worked over a something that is basically entertainment in the middle of a pandemic.

We can bring back Butch once we are finished paying his buyout.

I think he even still has a house in Knoxville.

Comparing 2017 to this year. Ugly years. Not sure which is worse. We didn't win a conference game in 17, but GA Tech that year is maybe better than SC or Mizzou this year? Maybe? I dunno.

I think the best game we played in either year is this year vs Missouri. That Kentucky this year is the ugliest non-Bama game.

Either way, if it's this close we know where this ends. With Pruitt gone and another coach in Knoxville. Hopefully sooner rather than later and hopefully a proven commodity. I'm not holding my breath for either.

Besides having a haircut, an attitude, and an offensive philosophy from the early 60s, I dunno.

Butch Jones is to modern football what Lionel Ritchie is to modern music...... that is, inconsequential.

Butch should never been fired. That 2017 team coached under Butch would beat this 2020 team. That 0-8 team played hard. They had alot of hard faught games they lost in the last second.

This! He rode JDobbs' back to two nine win seasons. Did he underachieve? Or were those teams overrated?
