They have not quit. We are just abysmal on offense

I agree... the team DID NOT appear to quit at any time... too many freshmen (especially on the O line PLUS the freshman QB caused many mistakes/turnovers)... too many injuries... and not enough depth at key positions. On top of all that, MIZZOU is a better team than people gave them credit for, and they have been steadily improving all season.

MIZZOU's coaching staff seems to have a penchant for taking **, ***, and a few **** players and developing them to to where they play above their supposed * level. When UT gets another HC who is above mid-tier level, we will see here at UT once again.

IF Currie is going to make a HC change, he had best do it soon, else we are going to have problems 1) getting the coach the AD/fans want, 2) recruiting... especially with the early signing period just a few weeks away.

GBO...

No reasonable person took him literally. The idiot was coming from Cincinnati/Central Michigan and had never won squat.

That said, he never should have said it. Could’ve swallowed the “my system is infallible” line as well.

Think you could fill a Gruden thread with the number of lines Jones should have swallowed the past 5 years.

The sad part is that with the amount of money spent on these assistants under Jones, they could have put together an excellent coaching staff.

Instead, Jones has turned UT into a welfare system for his lame coaching buddies and guys that have no business in the SEC.

Definitely. I still think the talent is there, they just have no leadership.

I'm concerned, we've been lead to believe the talent is there. We've been lead to believe butch is the greatest recruiter that has ever lived. But with all that said, I wish we'd go man by man on today's roster, and discuss the "Talent", what has/hasn't been developed and what reasonable people believe can be developed. I'm not sure at this point, "The talent is there".
After the embarrassment tonight, our hope of getting new high quality recruits has just dropped-once again. I would not be surprised to hear, next week, we have some new de-commits.:hi:

There zero question that Dooley was worse

Dooley was bad but at least he didn't make us a complete laughing stock of college football.

this little gem quoted directly from msn sports.

— It’s almost like Tennessee tries to outdo itself in terms of incompetence every week. The Volunteers were absolutely embarrassed Saturday against Missouri, which won 50-17. The Tigers out-gained them 659-285 and had no trouble doing so. Butch Jones must have serious dirt on some important people, because we cannot fathom how he is still employed.
