After 4 seasons Butch Jones' winning percentage is 58%. I would like to know of a Tennessee fan that thinks this is alright by the historic standards of our program.

What's worse is that Butch's gameday coaching has been maybe the worst any of us have ever seen from a coach on the hill...or ever... It's pretty bad when even Andre Ware knows you're doing the wrong thing--and it's far from the first time we've seen Butch make a boneheaded decision with the game on the line.

Staffing really SHOULD be the strongpoint for a weak little man like Lyle, but during the time that he has claimed to have the best staff in America we have suffered through DeBord, Shoop, Azzanni, Jancek, Mahoney and Martinez.

So, let's hear all of Butch's stanch defenders explain why 58% is good enough. I know you're out there because you've been all over his jock this season, enlighten me.

This season was derailed by injuries. If someone told me before the season that the vols would lose their best lbs, three best dts, arguably the best cb in the sec, Starting rb, half the OL, kick returner, and punt returner and beat fl,ga, and possibly win 9 games I think I'd be happy. Too many unrealistic expectations given the circumstances.

GTFO, injuries are part of the game. All off-season Butch talked nonstop about finally having the depth that the other SEC powers have, where is it?

We didn't and won't win 9 games, but even if we do it's not good enough for year 4 of the best staff in America.

we barely beat Appy State...our Talent alone should have ran them out of Knoxville. Butch has been here this long and only has 3 quality DT's? Or 2 quality LB's? Why has he signed over 20 something DB's if none of them are Sec quality? Brag on a QB who goes 31-0f 34 passing (although 19 where either on the line of scrimmage or behind it ) I'm sick of his used car salesman BS same ole same ole crap he said at Cincy! Butch Jones is not in our Universitys best interests

Of course injuries are part of the game, and anyone who knows football knows that the vols had an incredible amount. I never remember seeing a team have this many. Say what you want, but he can't catch it and throw it for em. Dobbs is a mediocre quarterback at best,a turnover machine with no leadership qualities. You can't blame everything on the coaches

Butch fired our S&C coach and then we have a ton of injuries, so there's that.

So in part, he created that mess too.

“Each week, there’s something that is the major issue, it’s a catastrophe, it’s blown out of proportion,” Jones said. “I’m charting week to week what we blow up in the media, the main issues. At the end of the year, I’m going to go back and relive those. We spend so much time creating things that really aren’t there. We make them real when they’re not real.

I wonder how his charts are looking this morning? Instead of being a condescending p--ck he should have went to work on holding his assistants and players accountable for those poor performances early in the season.

You must not follow football much. App st. Is 9-3. The vols opponents have almost a 70% winning percentage. Tn has one of the toughest schedules this year. I think they beat potentially 5 conference champs. How many teams have more than three really good dt's? One. Alabama. Stop being emotional and look at the facts

Throwing Dobbs under the bus for yet another series of coaching blunders is ridiculous.

And who recruited Dobbs and provided the coaching(such as it is from a grad assistant) for him the past 4 seasons if he is as terrible as you claim?

Who is it that sets the depth chart?

you mean the Appy State team that a first year head coach at Miami beat 45-10 ? Your asking me what team has more than 3 good DT's .Every freaking team in the SEC! What about LB's ,DB's ? Stop making excuses and show me some facts that we are headed in the right direction!

Technically, the A&M loss was a double whammy.

The Vols beat the Champions of Life since they beat themselves with 7 turnovers.

There is 4 champions right there. :)
