Here is a Conundrum, If Butch Jones for some reason got to coach Bama against Georgia, and Georgia wins, who would get the honor of being the first of Saban's assistant coaches to beat Bama. Would it be Kirby or Butch?

It is against NCAA rules for a coach to be in contact remotely beginning from when the refs take control of the game until the end of the game. I believe that prohibition begins 1.5 hours before kickoff.

He doesn’t get the last laugh. He got paid millions to stop being the HC at Tennessee. He is the laughing stock of the SEC. Jones and Dooley are twins, they are neck and neck for which one was worse for this reason or that.
Butch was a top-shelf recruiter . Thats the only good thing I recall.

He did beat Florida ending the streak and beat Georgia.

For him it was what could have been but because of him it wasn’t ever gonna happen.

Beating Florida and Georgia doesn't mean a thing when you lose to South Carolina and Vanderbilt in the same season. He choked hard. He also lost to 2 of the worst Florida teams ever ('13 and '17), and had no reason losing to them in '14 or '15.

Of course not. Philip Fulmer loves the University of Tennessee while folks like you don't. Pound sand, you & your people.

Ahhh...another Fulmer fluffer. Fulmer's ego started this mess in the first place and will probably lead to the same place again with Pruitt if things dont change soon.

On a side note. you think pounding sand is an insult but it is actually what most of us do on here posting.

To pound sand” (or “salt”) is a North American invention that first appeared in print back in 1857 meaning “to engage in a pointless, menial task” (Oxford English Dictionary) (“If he told them to pound sand, they would pound sand, and think that it was the finest thing in the world.” 1905). Literally pounding sand (with a shovel, for instance) is indeed a pointless chore; the sand does not really compress or adhere to itself, so the result is largely indistinguishable from the starting point.

Not worth the effort. Enjoy your misery.
