At this point all I hear coming out of his mouth is the teacher from Charlie Brown...Wah, Wah, Wahwah Wha Wah.... unless he said, "this game was lost by our coaching staff's lack of effort, lack of balls, and lack of play calling and intelligence, it is just coach-speak. I know this is brutal, but talk is cheap and that is all he has been doing.... talking. He can recruit, but l haven't seen him actually coach yet. If things don't change, recruiting will tail off and we are going to be left with searching for another coach in about 1-2 years.... No WR recruit would want to sniff TN at this point after last night. All our group did was run routes and work on cardio. Makes you wonder when Debord several weeks ago sang Dobbs praises about how much his accuracy had improved.... improved from what exactly? I love Dobbs but either Debord has zero faith in his throwing ability, or most of us have been fleeced with how good a QB he actually is.

I'm overly annoyed with the robotic regurgitated cheap talk. It's way passed old.

It should have stopped after the bowl blasting of Iowa.

Win ****ing games. That's all he needs to do. We don't need a mouthpiece for the programs failures and flaws.

He needs to worry about correcting his mistakes as a coach and of his staff. If not, he gone in a couple years max.

At this point it is shut the **** up or get the **** out with me regarding him. And I was on the wagon. But now I'm starting to hang on to the side of the Butch Jones wagon.

We can only defend and excuse him so much. At some point, enough is enough. I've had enough of the mouthbreathing.

At this rate it's almost double talk

I don't know why the losers are even interviewed after a game, ridiculous. Who cares what they have to say. Go talk to the winners.

Speaking of double talk, I thought the Iowa bowl game win was "big win." That one no longer counts, correct?

When a coach can't pinpoint exactly why his quarterback's effectiveness took a nosedive during the post-game presser (referring to his "I'll know more when I watch the tape tonight" comment), he sure as heck couldn't pinpoint it during the game. Therefore, why would we expect him to be able to recognize said shifts by the opposing team DURING the game and actually make any compensating adjustments?

If hanging your hat on a team that went 7-5 and beat no ranked opponents counts as a "big win" then, well, I've got some sad news for you.

Spurrier did more in Year 1 at South Carolina (with their awful roster) than Jones has done through 2 years and 2 games.

I remember a whole lot of "I'll look at the tape" coming from Fulmer when what he really meant was "there are severe coaching problems I don't want to address publicly".

You were there for the same game I was, Butch. You're letting your players get torn apart and you're letting them take the blame?

I have no faith in this staff at this point and I see Jones as nothing more than a cardboard cut-out snake oil salesman.

What kind of leader sits there and lets his team take the blame? You want your QB to be a CEO when you refuse to be? It's pathetic. His public persona has as much stones as his 4th&Goal call from the 1 and going for a FG. Just limp-wristed and pathetic.

He will end up being our Ron Zook. At least he is going to stock the stable up for whoever comes after him. Hopefully it'll be someone who is proven to be elite

Butch is still our coach and I will support him. However, last night he should have accepted the blame. Saying we lost because we didn't execute was poor in my opinion. He should have admitted he played not to lose, accepted responsibility, say he would learn from it. Move on.

I don't think he threw anybody under the bus, but he didn't man up with "the buck stops here" approach either.

I feel the exact same way. I cannot handle listening to any interviews he does or watch the Butch Jones Show. He is always so cliche and boring and always has some bush league excuse for things.

I too have been on the Butch bandwagon all along but that thing is about to come to a screeching halt if he doesn't start taking responsibility for things.

Yup... we learned that from Phil. Deflection technique.

Simple question that a reporter needs to ask... Coach, can you address the game planning and apparent lack of adjustments by your staff?

I agree Butch needs to own this loss and move on. I will not judge him on one game. However I do hope he learned something last night and does not repeat it again.

We had a mouth piece with dooley always making excuses.
I broke my own rule by buying into the hype during the off season. I want to believe but I just can't, if there is not a sense of urgency next Saturday and I mean a killer attitude adjustment in QB, play calling and all around 360, we're done for. I feel this will be our worst season w/ the NEW OC

Next week this team will look impressive... but that will be meaningless. Fla is the test as to whether Butch is going to get off the pot.

Play the Texan. He can sling it.Dobbs played scared last night. You can't play scared. That's what I liked about OUs Qb.He had that it factor all the great ones have.Despite constant harassment from our D.He got it done .Eye of the Tiger. We need that in our Qb.

Last nights game reminded me of the early 90's when we played ucla and cal. We were not quite "there" but we're getting closer
