JONES: (On Hurd) He sees what has been said and he hasn't said a word. He's mature beyond his years. I'd take it all as a compliment.

He'll give Jamal Lewis's record a run when it's all said and done. He's came up big the last two games and is only gonna get better.

If he averages 83 yards per game this season, next season and his junior season, he will have 3,000 yards rushing in his career. I am sure he will head to the NFL after his junior season.

Comes from a family of Tennessee fans, don't count out a senior season stay.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jones was quoting the article over the mic at practice.

"Come on Hurd! Florida thinks you can't hang with them! You're soft Jalen!"

Yeah but $$$ certainly talks. What you say is true but it also (IMO) depends on how healthy he stays. One injury early in his career could scare him into getting that $ as quick as possible and I don't blame him.

I "Hurd" it too. That was a great interview. Butch said that when he asked him if he was aware of the smack that he just "shook his head and didn't say a word". It seems that BOTH of these teams mimic their coaches. I'm supremenly satisfied by that fact!! GBO!

If a guy stays for his senior year and knows he is gonna be an NFL lower round draft pick does he have to purchase the injury insurance or can the university purchase something like that for their star players in case of career ender injury? If the university could, it might keep some of their stars from bolting early.

Just think with a good OL what his numbers would be, with each game and with the better the OL gets, Jalens numbers will go, good shot at 1,000 this year, we need a bout 125 Saturday for sure victory, he is fixing to bust a 60 yard TD, this Saturday would be a great day for it.

Not sure the university can purchase it for the players, but I know that the players can purchase it. Willis Mcgahee purchased for the OSU championship game back in 2001 I think, but decided not to use it, I think it was like $5 or $10 million, not sure but it came with a clause that he could never get paid to play football again.

FSU is paying for Winston's, each school has a fund to help players out in times of need or something like that, they chose to spend most of it on 1 player. It's crazy expensive

I love the workman attitude of this team...they don't trash talk they just go about their business of becoming a better team. This will be dividends.

C'mon, everyone knows Hurd is just delaying the inevitable and needs to switch to DE where he'll make real money in the NFL.

He could get there since he will play at least two more games than Jamal did. He is looking like a legit elite back.
