Butch pretty much made it clear. You want a link, google the Debord presser your damn self. My fancard is every bit as legit as yours, chief....and you and your homer buds don't get to dictate who is and who isn't a fan.
Some of us choose to think for ourselves, rather than be a bunch of .....
....like yourself. Now...
UT needs to win 8-9 games minimum in 2015. If they don't, imo it doesn't matter who is OC. All of their jobs will be in jeopardy going forward. Recruiting is one thing. Hart isn't paying 3 million plus a year to a guy because he can recruit. At this point it's win. Time for excuses is over.
Jeopardy may kick in at a 5 - 6 win season and Jeopardy means nothing more than a couple more seasons to sort it out. It's a safe word to use because it means literally means nothing nor will it ever be used by the University, Hart or AD personnel, just people with opinions. It's like Double Secret Probation....LOL
The improvements go beyond just recruiting, CBJ will be here for 4 more years, Hart can't afford to fire him.
This University, AD and team cannot and will not endure another coaching carousel as long as improvements are being made on/off the field and team remains competitive. Plus, where has he failed yet?
Butch didn't wanna jeapordize the season by. holding the team back another year. He goes out and hires a guy that he knows will still run his offense. Someone that will fit with a close group of guys already there.
I think some of you wouldn't know what to do with your life if you didn't argue over stupid crap. Geez.
I am not really seeing how the sky is falling on this hire. Have you seen some of the QB's this guy has worked with in the past? He helped develop Brady into a college level QB and that is nothing short of a miracle.
Calm the hell down and be patient. I know that goes against the nature of a lot of people on here but humor the rest of us that actually have patience.
You will quickly learn that being patient is not something that most of the kids here on VN know anything about my friend.
I want to win everything right now too but I'm older and more realistic and understand that it takes several years of good recruiting and coaching to finish a total rebuilding job like buTch took on.
Kids will learn eventually that instant gratification vanishes when they have to pay for everything themselves.
Life is tough and you have to earn everything you get and the sooner that kids learn this the better off they'll be.
I still believe that buTch will get us where we all want to be given time to keep building and if we pay our best recruiters well enough to stay at Tennessee.

Let Butch win 7 games or fewer in 2015 and watch Hart light his seat ablaze. Recruiting is going well. Lots of attrition, seems another player is being investigated daily. There is good and bad right now. On the field, about where they should be. Take a step back and you might be surprised how fast things heat up.
IMO they will win the 8-9 they need to.
Butch Jones has had two stellar recruiting classes, but his record after 2 years at UT is a less-than-stellar 12-13. For him, 2015 is the money year, the payoff after 2 years of great recruiting. He needs 8, maybe 9 regular season wins to show that he and his staff can mold all that football talent into a winning team.
So what has he done at this most critical juncture in his career? He's hired as OC an old crony who hasn't done much of anything as a football coach in the past ten years. Jones is betting that DeBord will somehow blossom into a first-rate OC in the toughest league in football - a coach whose football acumen equals the talent of UT's 4- & 5-star recruits.
In essence, Butch Jones has bet career on DeBord. If UT stumbles against, say, UGA, UF, and Mizzou again, if we have blowout losses to OU & Bama because of an inept offence and just plain dumb playcalling, fingers will be pointed. But not at DeBord, rather at Butch Jones. He will have lost the huge bet he's made. In which case, Jones will be remembered for 2 things: a) a legacy of terrific football talent for the new HC we hire in 2016, and b) the guy who chose an ole pal over a career as HC at Tennessee.
2015 will be a very interesting year of UT football.

Let's focus only on the bad. Where is it? Attrition will always happen some years it will be higher, There are some players on this team that need to move on because they are dead weight.
Leave out the assaults and one party at AJs house that's it. Where is the bad? I don't see bad I see bad being weeded out which needs to be done.
Fireproof, and yes they're both great movies.
That's it, Fireproof, Thanks for helping me get it right my friend.
Off topic, I love seeing your name because it brings on deja vu of decades ago.
High pressure fog engines because fireplugs were few and far between, Scott air packs and hanging onto the back of the fire trucks and watching the lights go round and round, LOL!
Smoke eaters make hotter lovers too, LOL!

Out in the suburbs back then there were very few street lights so those lights on top of the truck were bright enough and I'd dread the new lights they have now.
I hate cold weather and a house fire in this weather is horrid.
Way back then we had a house fire just after the sleet began.
I had to go on the roof of the garage and break out the wooden slats at the peak of the roof on the main part of the house to get water in the attic.
Sleet was really coming down and a leaky nozzle on the high pressure reel line I was using made that roof solid ice in no time.
I got the engineer to bring me a attic ladder and got the curved hooks over the peak of the roof.
Finally had the ladder rungs to try to help me stay on the roof.
Ice finally built up so that the ladder rungs and everything were solid ice and I slid off the roof and was lucky I didn't break anything.
I was so glad when we finally got that fire knocked down and went back to the station to thaw out.
Attic ladder was frozen solid to that roof and we finally got it back 2 or 3 days later, LOL!
I threw a screaming fit to the asst-chief and he finally got that leaky nozzle on that reel line fixed, LOL!
Just stay safe my friend and THANKS for your service!
