Incorrect. Most predicted TN winning 9 or more this year. First time in years TN was ranked preseason. 7 wins is simply unacceptable this year. I did not read one publication which predicted a win total matching last years. Butch is in trouble, serious trouble, we all know it, the players know it and recruits know it. Prediction Jarret G. Flips his commitment from TN to FL before national signing day. Recruits want to play for a winner which Butch is not.

Yea, right nice try; these are the facts! I stated facts when it happened yet you refuse to discuss it now. I don't know everything that happens within the program, but it is obvious that you are not familiar with it. Lol, tell us, Mr. Insider, when this, or anything like it, has happened. If you can't, say you can't; otherwise, you need to stop detouring the conversation to avoid admitting that.

The staff has proven to be pretty good recruiters but mostly subpar at player development and non existent on game day

Not one single time has Butch and company put together an opponent specific strategy designed to win a game. They just roll out their system and see what happens. They have lots of good excuses before the game even starts about why we won't be able two with such young players - instead of telling us how they are preparing the team and getting them ready to go against "more experienced teams". It's fine to build your opponent up but quit belittling and tearing your own team down -- and while you're at it WIN a doggone game that matters

I am unaware of a fumbling problem with this team. Maybe I'm forgetting some??? Just bc a player blocks in the back doesn't mean he wasn't coached on it. Sorry but this is an example if the over criticism that is out of control.

Chip Kelly's name will begin to surface if he flames out in Philly. But Texas will probably come after him harder than we would.

I like the Memphis coach but I think the Middle coach could do much better than Jones.

This is what you get when you hire an old washed up o-line coach to come be your OC and QB coach in the SEC. Not to mention a WR coach who sucks and bases his entire resume off of 1 single WR in the NFL. Brown is a amazing WR but I dont see him using that ole coach z stance on sundays!!!

Butch's issue is losing

it isn't
field goals
player turnover
development
scheme
resume
conservative play calling
passing game
cheat sheets
or any other plausible reason but secondary issue

None of us cares about any of this crap if we are winning, but we aren't. So now we get to pick every nuance apart like someone with OCD picks at a scab. McElwain dresses a player down. Ask the player or the fans if they give 2 chits at 5-0. Bama nation was chomping about the loss to Ole Miss but now that they skull drug Georgia, what issues?

Football is simple win or be fired. Doesn't matter how.

Alrightyyyy people slow the hell down about firing this coach. This is Tennessee and we do expect to compete no matter what, but there comes a point where we cannot be calling for the head coach's head. This program needs stability. Do we really trust Dave Hart and Cheek's asses to fire Butch and replace him with someone better, they're track record says otherwise. I am all in favor of giving Butch a fair chance to succeed. He has coached this team so tight and conservatively that it has cost him a 4-1 or 5-0 record so far. Im sure he has got the message loud and clear to let this offense flow and shine like the recruiting sites say it should. He no doubt loves this university and will do whatever it takes to bring the Vols back to prominence. If he doesn't at least make it to Atlanta next year, he needs to GTFO.
